The GI Joe Collector Club has unveiled pics of the 2009 “Crimson Strike Team” in all their 25th Anniversary-style glory! Check out the redeco’s of the Baroness, Tomax, and Xamot and the newly-configured Cobra Viper in their “elite attire”.
To celebrate the G.I. Joe brand’s 45th Anniversary, Hasbro has
granted the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club a special edition of the 25th Anniversary sculpt 3 3/4” figures for the return of the Crimson Strike Team. These convention exclusive versions of the Crimson Twins, Baroness and a set of twelve “army builder” style Cobra Vipers will once again appear in their unique crimson deco. Each fan favorite comes with their classic weapons and accessories in this exciting 2009 fifteen figure boxed set!

This year’s GIJoe Collector’s Convention in Kansas City features a return of a “classic theme” – the Crimson Strike Team.
Regardless of where you stand in terms of the Collector’s Club’s controversial decision to abandon the 0-ring figures in favor of the currently-available 25A design, you’ll want to take a look at cmderinchief’s “in hand” pics of Crimson Guard commander Tomax. For those fans that are on the fence about this year’s convention set, the pictorial offers an interesting preview.

Hasbro announces its special edition G.I. JOE figures for San Diego Comic-Con
G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA 12” BARONESS Special Edition Figure

Just in time for the release of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, due out on August 7th from Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment, in association with Hasbro, Hasbro introduces the first and only 12” BARONESS figure. The figure, in the likeness of BARONESS actress Sienna Miller as seen in the upcoming movie, features a soft goods trench coat and body suit as well as multiple signature weapons. The figure comes with an R. Black designed “COBRA recruiting poster” featuring BARONESS and features the “COBRA Office of Propaganda” seal of approval. The figure and poster are packaged together in a premium faux-leather box with embossed foil.

Covertly retrieved from a G.I. JOE evidence storage facility and released by the “COBRA Office of Propaganda,” this special edition 3 ¾” DESTRO 2-Pack represents James “Destro” McCullen’s personal bound tome containing the history of the Clan McCullen. Opens to reveal two fully articulated 3 ¾” carded McCullen figures with masks and accessories as seen in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, as well as a timeline highlighting the weapons supplying escapades of each McCullen generation throughout history.
