Joe Battlelines Top Ten
JBL members were asked “What’s Your Top Ten?” and you responded. The lists were compiled and broken down to the ten most popular toys, and there were some surprises. Then you were asked to vote on those top ten and you overwhelmingly responded with even bigger surprises. So ladies and gentlemen let’s get right into it and as well see what some of you had to say;

- G.I.Joe Headquarters Command Center
Released in 1983 the Headquarters Command Center was G.I.Joe’s first base. It could house your vehicles in one of its two bays, one featuring an elevating platform. There was a jail cell for those captured Cobra Troopers, and a command center for your Joe’s. As well as a storage place for your weapons in the back of the main base and for your file cards in the (tank) bay. It made for countless hours of fun and a home for your Joe team when not in battle.

Ouside the Box Custom Contest Winners!
I just got the word from the judges! But before I announce the winners, I have to thank some people.
First off, is Richard Woodhouse from the G.I. Joe Design Team. Richard taught a custom class at the JoeCon in Kansas City, and encouraged us to think outside the box. Next I want to thank the judges: Fred (Leonardo T. Dragon), Justin (General Hawk), and John (Alyosha). I also want to thank the sponsers: Broken Arrow Toys, Smalljoes.com, Marauder John, General’s Joes, and Hasbro. Lastly, I want to thank you guys for taking a chance on a contest where you didn’t know what you were going to be customizing.
All of you did a great job, and I hope you will join me again next year when we do this again!

Scarlett’s Saturday Special
This week’s spotlight come from member ‘Nighthawk’. He created a custom Strato Viper back in February, but has recently updated his thread to show off the ‘removable helmet’ feature. (Maybe its the fact that I’ve got ‘Toy Story 3’ on the brain, but all I can hear is the green aliens going “OOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo” 😉 )
In all serious though, this custom is cool and reminds me of the ‘toon. Head on over and Check it out!

Sorry gang, its been one heckuva week for me, but since I’m sitting here enjoying a cup o’ Joe……I figured I’d browse through Custom Central Command and find something to showcase.
And boy did I!! Member ‘swampmojo’ has done something really cool……..he’s made our favorite android soldiers BIGGER!!! Head over and check out his B.A.T. M1 & M2 !!!!!

Its been a while, and we’ve had a TON of new custom work grace the ‘Custom Central Command’ section.
But in light of the recent passing of a fellow fan (and friend of mine), I chose to highlight JBL member ‘swampmojo’s take on Major Bludd.
His take on our favorite Major is very cool….it reminds me of the grittiness that Sebastian Bludd has always portrayed.

In memory: Craig “Outrider” Anderson…
Craig “Outrider” Anderson was an Australian G.I. Joe fan who loved photography, Major Bludd, and o-ring Joe figures. An active member of both JoeDios.com and Flikr, Craig continually amazed and impressed fans with his eye for the dramatic when it came to snapping pics of our favorite “Real American Heroes”. He passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010. His legacy in the fandom, however, will not be forgotten by the body of high-quality work he left behind at JoeDios.com. I’d invite everyone to take a reverent look at the works of… a man who raised the bar of “Joe photography” for all of us.
