Remember a few weeks ago when a certain video dropped for Toy Soldiers War Chest?  You know the one I’m referring to– the one that suddenly dropped He-Man and G.I. Joe characters firmly into the middle of the pixel carnage of video game combat?  Remember the anticipation that was experienced by video game fans everywhere at the thought of being able to take your favorite toy lines and pit them against each other?

The wait is nearly over.  Toy Soldiers War Chest hits Xbox, Playstation, and PC on August 11, 2015!

Nerdist News Discusses Toy Soldiers War Chest

Last week, the teaser trailer for Toys Soldiers War Chest blew the collective minds of video gamers everywhere.  With its mash-up of armies both inspired by and from classic 80’s toylines, action figure collectors everywhere cheered with glee at the thought of pitting He-Man against Duke and the Masters of the Universe vs. G.I. Joe.

It seems that toy collectors weren’t the only ones that geeked out over Toy Soldiers War Chest.  The always lovely Jessica Chobot of Nerdist News offered her own commentary on this genre-smashing RTS game.  Check out the video below:

Toy Soldiers War Chest Brings G.I. Joe to the Fight

It’s been FOREVER since I’ve played Toy Soldiers, the video game from Signal Studios in which small toy soldiers battle for control of a World War I diorama.

Now, imagine my surprise when I stumbled across a video for Toy Soldiers War Chest: The Game of Toys Legendary Heroes edition that showcased all manner of toy lines duking it out. Imagine my further surprise when He-Man and Battle Cat from Masters of the Universe made an appearance.

However, nothing could prepare me for the tiny cameo at the end of the video, right around the 2:05 mark. Continue reading
