For those of you that pre-ordered the insanely cool complete series sets from GIJoeCollectorsSet.com— I have good news!
Check your email boxes as the complete series sets started shipping yesterday, according to an email I received this evening.
If the shipping times are the same as the Transformers set, many lucky Joe fans could have their sets tomorrow!

Why would a Joe fan be interested in that? Well, both programs were produced by Sunbow, and with lots of cross-over in the voice cast (for example, “Cobra Commander” and “Starscream” were both voiced by the late, great Chris Latta). But, more to the point, the Transformers site is not only taking pre-orders for The Transformers – 25th Anniversary Matrix of Leadership Edition: Collector’s Set, but from the same site you can also place a pre-order right now for the G.I. Joe – A Real American Hero Complete Collector’s Set as well.
The thumbnail image you see at left is the only graphic shown of the “footlocker” set, and the only information available right now is that it will be a 17-disc collection, costing $145.00 (including standard USA shipping and handling). We asked Shout! Factory for more info, and the studio tells us that they’ll have further details and artwork for us about that release in another week or two, so stay tuned. In the meantime, you can lock in your copy right away. Or, if you are attending the San Diego Comic Con (July 23-26), you can get instant gratification by purchasing this title (and/or the big Transformers set) at Shout!’s booth there. We’re told they’ll take cash or credit cards, by the way. Stay tuned for updates!

Thanks to the generosity of WinterGod and ACToys.net, Cmderinchief has posted “in hand” pics of the forthcoming GIJoe: Rise of Cobra movie Cobra Commander figure!

First off let me start out by saying “I’m Back” not that I went any where but my computer did. Here are some highlights that are currently happening.

Shout! Factory
has revealed a new “beauty shot” picture of their packaging – including the discs, disc case, outer slipcover and bonus rub-on tatoos – for their upcoming release of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Season 1.1 on DVD. This item will be available at general retail starting July 21st<
Around the same time, Shout! will also be making a <G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – The Complete Series available in a special “footlocker”-style package, but it will only be available for sale initially at the San Diego Comic Con (July 23-26), and then exclusively online at a secure website (the details of which have yet to be revealed). After an undetermined amount of time, the Complete Series set will then be made available in stores.
In the meantime, the coolness factor of these releases has gone up even further, with word from the DVD producer at Shout!’s message boards that he is painstakingly trying to make every effort to deliver the original broadcast versions of every Sunbow-produced episode, where at all possible. And Shout!’s disc-by-disc “track” listing for the Season 1.1 set has been revealed at their official consumer site, including interesting new details about the bonus material. Here’s that list, followed by the new shot of the package:
