The folks at the Collector’s Club are at it again– with the latest figure to be revealed is GRUNT in desert colors.
Sure, he’s an homage to the old Falcon glider version and he’s using the Resolute glider pack but I much prefer this head over the previously 25A 3-pack version of Robert W. Graves.
Here’s the verbiage from the Club with more details:

We have another exciting figure preview from our upcoming monthly subscription service… Cobra Ninja Commando: DICE!

See, I’m now more conflicted about this subscription. I was all set to pass because of figures like Quarrel and the Nano-BAT which I have ZERO interest in. Topside was an interesting choice but not really the big “oomph” I felt the Club needed to showcase. Still, he’s a figure that I don’t have in the new style and so he raised my interest a bit. Dice takes things further in the “probably going to subscribe” department solely because I like the character– especially after his recent appearances in IDW’s Snake Eyes solo series.
I’ve mirrored the pic below for those who are interested. Between this reveal and the recent BBTS exclusive sets my Joe interest is on the rise again.
This hit the inbox over the weekend– the Collector’s Club revealed ONE more figure for their pending subscription service as the New York Comic Con this weekend.

This is the shortest post to date: The newly-revealed Renegades and Slaughter’s Marauders 7 packs are up for pre-order @ BBTS!
Go get ’em!!
Toy super site ToyArk.com has posted early pics from Hasbro’s G.I. Joe event at the New York Comic Con. (See the mirrored images below.)
WOW– I’m seeing Slaughter’s Marauders, Renegades, and more Dreadnoks than you can shake a can of grape soda at! Could it be that the situation of the brand isn’t as dire as thought or are these some of the many rumored exclusives that will be hitting both the Collector’s Club subscription and BigBadToyStore.com later this year?
EDIT: Friend of JBL GeneralsJoes.com has confirmed that these are the BigBadToyStore 7 packs that will hit pre-order today!
Check out the images below or over at the original posting on ToyArk.com!
EDIT: Even cleaner pics are available over at ToyNewsI.com!
The gang from Pawtucket will have a real presence this year at the annual New York Comic Con and have issued a press release with details on which lines will be featured– and it looks like pretty much ALL of them.
For Joe fans, the most important information is highlighted below but you can read the full press release after the jump. The big news? The previously teased seven packs will be exclusive to online retailer BigBadToyStore.com. Anyone else thinking the remainder of the figures we saw at Joe Con and SDCC are getting the seven pack treatment– especially in light of the news that G.I. Joe is starting to disappear from 3rd quarter planograms again?
G.I. JOE
At New York Comic Con Hasbro will reveal the highly anticipated G.I. JOE 7-pack battle sets available as a Big Bad Toy Store exclusive later in 2011 for the first time at the opening of the convention. The brand that launched “the first action figure” in the mid 1960’s continues to introduce highly detailed figures and vehicles as well as comics, movies and television shows that have been embraced by millions of fans across the globe. Hasbro will also have on display in its booth a wide array of the current 2011 G.I. JOE toy line. The epic saga of G.I. JOE vs. COBRA is captured in great detail in the line’s 3.75-inch action figures featuring well known characters including DUKE, SCARLETT, COBRA COMMANDER and two of the most famous ninjas of all time, SNAKE EYES and STORM SHADOW. The brand is also looking forward to the theatrical release of the second major motion picture based on the brand hitting theaters in June, 2012 from Paramount Pictures.

Yeah, I’ll get to the Hazard Viper next! Just wanted to get this guy out of the way first!
