Mal-gate 2010 UPDATE!

Gang,

As of now it looks like the site might be clean again.  Some behind the scenes work between JBL staff and the good folks at GoDaddy seems to have paid off.

If anyone experiences any problems, please contact me IMMEDIATELY.  Otherwise, it looks like the site survived this latest debacle more or less intact.

I appreciate everyone’s patience and patronage.  You guys really are the best group of Joe fans out there!

HACKED!!!

Gang,

UPDATE:  It looks like we weren’t the only ones hit.  GoDaddy and a few other hosting companies got nailed by what is being referred to as the “realsafe-23” trojan.

It is with more than a little anger and frustration that I have to report that JBL has been hacked and a malicious trojan has been installed.  DO NOT access the site right now until the all-clear has been sounded.  Keep an eye on the Facebook page and Twitter feed for more information as to when the all clear has been sounded. The hack seems to have affected both the site and the forums.

Do NOT install ANYTHING that pops up– nor follow any instructions that appear to come from your computer or anti-virus.  Close out of your browser immediately.

I’m sorry for this inconvenience.  I can’t imagine why anyone would want to attack a site dedicated to a toy line in this fashion.

Fred

2009 Collector’s Convention coverage page launched!

2009 Collector's Convention

2009 Collector's Convention

I admit– it’s not the most polished page ever but I’ve put up a page to house the coverage of the 2009 Collector’s Convention in Kansas City.  I’ll be adding photos and items throughout the weekend as will other JBL staffers so check back early and often as things get underway here in “The Land of Barbecue”!  (The food, not the firefighter.)

JBL is now on Twitter!

You knew it had to happen eventually– the “old fogies” learned to use the “new fangled technology”.

JBL now has a Twitter feed– which will automatically send out a “tweet” every time the main page of the site is updated.  It’s a great way to stay on top of what’s happening in the Joe community and with JBL.

JBL overhauled!

It had to happen sooner rather than later!

As part of the process of improving the functionality of the site, JBL has received a bit of a face lift. Gone is the old dark look that the site enjoyed for the past 4 years and in its place is a much brighter friendly design. It’s not finished and it’s not final as we have a pretty amazing face lift in the works. This is a bit of a “work in progress” and will be updated frequently in an effort to refine the sites content and layout into a much more efficient package.

Until then, feel free to voice any and all thoughts about this latest look in the forums!
