Justin over at GeneralsJoes.com was fortunate enough to attend Hasbro’s charity premiere of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra in Pawtucket last night and has posted his thoughts. Sideshow's 1:6 Cobra Commander
If you’re a 1:6 scale GIJoe collector the announcement last year of Sideshow Toys acquisition of the GIJoe license may very well have left you weak in the knees.

Regardless of where you stand in terms of the Collector’s Club’s controversial decision to abandon the 0-ring figures in favor of the currently-available 25A design, you’ll want to take a look at cmderinchief’s “in hand” pics of Crimson Guard commander Tomax. For those fans that are on the fence about this year’s convention set, the pictorial offers an interesting preview.

A few years ago, pictures of a new style 3.75″ Cobra Commander surfaced on the web. Much more futuristic in nature, this was a sleek new take on the “most dangerous man alive”. Unfortunately, the 3.75″ line went on hiatus and the design was instead moved to the 8″ scale Sigma 6 line…. until now!
