SDCC G.I. Joe Panel information
Both Toy News International and HissTank have provided live coverage of the Hasbro G.I. Joe Panel direct from the floor of the San Diego Comic Con. Apparently a bunch of cool info and pictures of the Resolute cartoon and the G.I. Joe live action movie were shown and discussed at length.

Updated information about second run of mailaway Doc figures
We’ve received some more information about the second run of Doc figures that are being pushed out right now to meet the incredible demand of mail away requests. There have been some fan concerns about the possibility that these Docs would be different than the initial run or that there may still be some folks who cannot get the figure. The updated info we have is:
1 – The second run of Docs will be the same as the first in packaging and design.
2 – The deadline for getting your figure is still August 31st. While we certainly recommend that you not delay, you do still have some wiggle room for sending in your forms.

IDW announced as new comic publisher!
Thanks to our good friend Phil Kost over at JoeReloaded.com for the alert– IDW Publishing has been announced as the new recipient of the GIJoe comic license!
According to the press release, the first products from this deal, a new monthly comic book series based on classic G.I. JOE vs. COBRA lore, will be launched with an introductory debut issue in October 2008. Featuring all-new storylines, the comics will portray the epic struggle of the G.I. JOE team against the evil forces of COBRA, while highlighting the brand’s favorite heroes and villains that made kids of the ‘80s today’s fans.
Updated “Rescue Doc” mail-in form!
The “Operation: Rescue Doc” redemption form has been updated!
Ever since it was announced that Battle Points (and Flag Points) could be redeemed for additional Doc figures, fans have been looking for a way to indicate this on their order forms. Hasbro listened and a new redemption form has been posted at both GIJoe.com and GIJoeClub.com.
