Canadian JoeMeet “Snowbank” figure has a touch of “Hama”

canada.gifAs reported on JoeCanuck.com, the 2008 Canadian JoeMeet exclusive figure “Snowbank” will feature a filecard written by G.I. Joe Godfather and comic legend Larry Hama!

As the writer of the majority of the classic filecards Larry Hama crafted a legendary tale over the span of twelve years and for the first time in many years, he picks up where he left off.  The filecard will be debuted for the first time in the April JoeCanuck newsletter, but read all the details here!

Sideshow Toys officially announces 12″ license

sideshow.gifIn a move everyone has been expecting for a few weeks, Sideshow Toys has officially announced that they will be producing 12″ figures based on the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero mythos.

According to their press release “Collectors can look forward to an incredible line from Sideshow – it’s really a line created by fans for fans – very detailed and utilizing the best modern production techniques, and heavily inspired by the classic Real American Hero era designs.”

It’s Official – Electronic Arts to release G.I. Joe video game

Electronic Arts logoRumors have persisted that Electronic Arts would be producing a GI Joe video game to coincide with the movie release in August of 2009.  This article from Variety confirms a Hasbro/Electronic Arts deal that will result in several Hasbro video game properties, including GI Joe.

GI Joe Film script review at Latino Review

clapboard.gifEl Mayimbe has given the latest draft of the GI Joe film’s script a glowing review here at LatinoReview.com. He has previously reviewed the previous two drafts and this latest version is far and away the best of the three, in his opinion.
