37 days until G.I. Joe Retaliation – Flint

Twitter user Twitziller continues his “40 Reasons to Be Excited About G.I. Joe Retaliation” series with today’s image that’s dedicated to the team’s premiere warrant officer!  (Sadly a day of excessive meetings at work delayed today’s posting.)

Once again, it’s a great reason to look forward to the film.  In the Sunbow animated series, Flint was one of the cornerstone characters.  Frequently , he was seen leading a team of Joes into all manner of dangerous situation and yet he always managed to bring his team back intact.  (Granted, it was a kids cartoon and so there were no character deaths but let’s just run with this, okay?)  The inclusion of Flint in the cinematic G.I. Joe universe is a welcome sight and another sign that director Jon M. Chu is staying more faithful to the mythos than Rise of Cobra did.

36 more days to go…

38 days to G.I. Joe Retaliation – Desert ambush

Twitter user Twitziller continues his “40 Reasons to Be Excited About G.I. Joe Retaliation” series with today’s image:

I can’t fault his logic– this sequence looks like it will be intense.  (In the very way that the night attack scene in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra wasn’t.)  Regardless, he’s right– this is going to be quite the sandbox indeed!

March 29th– you’re so far away…

39 Days to G.I. Joe Retaliation – Mini-Tank

Counting down to G.I. Joe Retaliation?  You’re not alone —  Twitziller has updated his “40 Reasons to be excited about G.I. Joe: Retaliation” with today’s installment and it’s a good one!  In fact, it’s extremely appropriate as I just snagged the Tread Ripper at Kmart yesterday in anticipation of a review!  (Also, because my Retaliation HISS needed something to shoot at it!)

Check out today’s “kernel of wisdom”:

It’s going to be a loooong 39 days…

We now return to your regularly scheduled day.  After all, “the world ain’t saving itself!”

40 days of G.I. Joe Retaliation – Color

You’ve heard of the 12 Days of Christmas but have you heard of the 40 Days of G.I. Joe Retaliation?  Apparently Twitter user Twitziller has because he’s bringing us just that– 40 days worth of reasons why he (and the rest of us) are looking forward to the G.I. Joe movie set to debut in theaters on March 29.  Every day he’ll be providing fans and non-fans alike to look forward to the next cinematic installment of our favorite Real American Heroes.

It’s a great and original idea– and one that is sure to give us all a lot to think about in the next two score days!

G.I. Joe Retaliation Super Bowl trailer to debut on iTunes TODAY!!

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was a mixed bag for most fans.  It was one of those films that had some familiar elements but still seemed to miss the mark in terms of overall feel and story.  The sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation seems to be having the opposite effect as fans and pundits alike can’t seem to stop talking about it in a VERY positive light– and the film hasn’t even hit yet!

Director Jon M. Chu posted a very exciting bit of news on his Twitter feed last night:

One last thing..u will b able to C the #GIJoeRETALIATION#SUPERBOWL commercial in its ENTIRETY TOMORROW on Apple Trailers #30secondsofheaven

That’s right, Joe fan– the super bowl trailer will drop on iTunes some time TODAY!!!   Like most Joe fans, those of us at JBL HQ are going to be keeping our eyes peeled for new footage from what is turning out to be one of the summer’s most anticipated films!

Want to see the G.I. Joe Retaliation trailer released? Here’s one way that might help!

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

There’s been a lot of buzz about the pending release of the first trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation — the game-changing sequel to Rise of Cobra.  Regardless of what you may have thought about the first film’s quality, this one certainly boasts a lot more star power including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Bruce Willis!   Longtime friend of JBL Justin from GeneralsJoes.com posted some information that may help to influence Paramount to drop the trailer sooner rather than later.  I’m just going to quote Justin’s post below:

In expressing my enthusiasm to see a trailer for next year’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation film, I had an opportunity to Tweet back and forth with the film’s director Jon Chu, and he recommended that if we want to see the trailer for the film, we should Tweet @ParamountPics and let them know.

So how about it, Joe fans?  Can we get together and let Paramount know that we want to see this thing?

Those of you with Twitter accounts, hit up ParamountPics and let them know!  If you don’t have Twitter, sign up and let’s do this!

Yo Joe!

Seriously guys– Justin’s right on the money.  If Paramount thinks they’ve got an audience, they’ll drop the trailer sooner rather than making us wait for it.  So, follow Justin’s advice and get on Twitter!  Let the power-that-be know that you want to see that Joe trailer– hopefully before year’s end.
