Sometimes, figure reveals are exactly what you expected them to be. Other times, they’re BETTER than expected!
I don’t think anyone out there presumed that the Python Patrol Laser Viper would be anything more than a repaint of 2017’s GIJoeCon Laser Viper. It was a solid build, based on a concept case reveal from 2012, and it seemed to be a hit with the fan base. Just toss on some of that sexy 2003 Python Patrol deco and the Club would be good-to-go, right?
I don’t know how many of us actually thought the Club would retool the 1990 Laser Viper backpack!
Seriously, that single parts addition takes the GIJoeCon Python Patrol Laser Viper build and turns it up to “11”! The one major complaint that folks had with the 2017 Laser Viper was the substitution of Sci-Fi’s backpack for the Laser Viper’s traditional gear. However, as the Club’s tenure was winding down, most fans understood the reason WHY the parts swap occurred. This new backpack changes everything– in the best way possible. I don’t know about you but this admin is now particularly jazzed to be getting these figures!
Nicely done, G.I. Joe Collector’s Club. Nicely done indeed!
