Iron Grenadiers

Destro’s personal army, The Iron Grenadiers, blasted their way onto the scene in 1988. They returned during the 25th anniversary line and saw several appearances in The G.I. Joe Collector’s Club convention sets in 2005, 2012, and 2015. The 2015 G.I. Joe Convention Kre-O exclusive pack was the first to introduce “Destro’s Demolishers” in the 1.5” scale with the Undertow Officer and Undertow Troopers as they faced off against Tiger Force.

The SDCC Exclusive set adds to the Iron Grenadiers roster with two IG Troopers, an Iron Grenadier Officer, Darklon, Voltar and their leader, the mighty Destro!

Voltar, Darklon and the Iron Grenadier Troopers have been superbly printed to match their original A Real American Hero counterparts. The Iron Grenadier Officer closely resembles the 25th Anniversary IG release which used the Armored Cobra Commander body as a base. Destro is sporting his infamous leopard printed “Pimp Daddy Destro” look first seen in 1997 and again as a SDCC release in 2007.
