SDCC 2016 is fleeting memory but the hunt for the Hasbro exclusives is only just beginning for many fans. According to the updated FAQ at HasbroToyShop.com, the remaining inventory of SDCC 2016 Hasbro exclusives will be available online on August 9, 2016.
As stated in this morning’s FAQ update, all exclusives will be available under the “Exclusives” category starting on August 9, 2016. In addition, the per-person limits that were enforced at SDCC 2016 will apply to all online transactions as well.
So there you have it. Depending upon the availability and the timing, a great many fans of Hasbro properties will be frantically hitting the F5 key that day in order to try and snag the latest 2016 exclusives. (This particular fan is eyeing both the G.I. Joe vs. Transformers set as well as the Marvel Legends Collector’s Vault set. Man, I NEED more Howard the Duck in my life! Plus, MICRONAUTS!)
It’s a pretty full-slate this year with Hasbro showcasing more of their lines (and upcoming properties) than this fan can recall the Pawtucket toymaker doing in previous years.
Looking for more news from Toy Fair 2014? Check out this in depth walk-through of Hasbro’s showroom courtesy of good friend of JBL The Breaux Show!
Check out this nearly two hour long recap from this Sunday’s live radio show in which intrepid reporter Mike Breaux walks his audience through the entire Hasbro presentation and tour of all of the product lines shown. Along with over 250 images he provides insights from the showroom including how the Kre-O Firebat will interact with the Terrordrome playset.
Since this Toy Fair 2014 video might be a bit long for a lunch break, here are some time marks to jump to if you just want to watch certain subjects:
9:30 – My Little Pony
16:45 – Star Wars
35:30 – Marvel (including Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, Avengers Infinite, etc)
If you’ve already purchased and opened your G.I. Joe Retaliation Duke action figure, you’ve probably found that his accessory compliment is “less than stellar”. The figure is equipped with a gun that I can only call the “Blast-o-Matic 6000” as well as an orange rifle that resembles Agent Coulson’s final weapon in the Marvel movie The Avengers.
Once you see it, you can’t “unsee” it. It looks like Hasbro continues the tradition of sharing tooling and molds across brand lines. After all, the G.I. Joe Renegades Storm Shadow mold is getting a reuse in a forthcoming Wolverine line. Plus, it makes poor Retaliation Duke just a bit cooler by association.
