Most Honorable General Scarlett, I am not worthy to even comment on your work. But I will anyhow ;) You are talented beyond belief and I absolutely love your figures and sets. I ask humbly if there is a link where a mere peasant may go to read your dio-stories?
P.S. Whereabouts are you in Connecticut? My dad's from Putnam and we used to go there visiting alot when I was young.

Geeze....I actually wasn't a big fan of the Ace figure but, if I only had your pic to go on, I would have been expecting a freakin' awesome figure! You could sell this line yourself if you wanted.
OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

I've got another thread in 'Custom Central Command' here on JBL:

General Scarlett's Custom work

Also here on JBL in 'The G.I. Joe Jungle of Fan Fiction', I've started sharing the Joeverse that I and my best friend of over 32 years have cultivated:

I'm in Central Connecticut, about 20 minutes SouthWest of Hartford......I know Putnam well, we compete there during Marching Band season (which is rapidly approaching) :thumbsup

WOW!

Hey General Scarlett! I LOVE your set up with the R.O.C.C. and all your figures. My favorite shot is of everyone sitting in the ROCC looking at a Monitor Screen. No matter how many times I'VE tried to do it, it still looks like a bunch of college kids cramming into a phone booth. But this pic is so smooth and the action not so "busy".

I like the way everyone gets their photos "eye" level when taking them. you can almost FEEL the action as you're drawn into the scene...

Man, I have GOT to get down here more often!

Thanks again!

SkyBuzz :)

GS, I was just going over your stuff again, that's posted on JoeDios. The Ares unit picture is very nice. It has a realistic quality that most folks miss when photographing models outdoors. The Joe Colton Mail in figure is my favorite figure in the entire 3 3/4 inch Joe world period. I never bought any Joes when they came out in 1982 as I was 18 just married joining Mr. Reagans Legions (US Army) and only collected military models in small scale 1/72 and 1/35. But I remember seeing Joes at Wal-Mart in Leesville (Sleezeville), Louisiana, and thinking they were dumb looking. I was used to G.I. Joe being 11 1/2 to 12 inches tall with realistic clothes and weapons, no laser rifles :crazy Anyhow fast forward to 1989 and I came across a 87 Falcon in Green Beret uniform and thought why couldn't they do all the figures like this. I had no knowledge of the cartoon or the comic and knew none of the characters. Then when the death throes of Joe came about I bought some of the more realistic looking Joes. ie,... Duke in desert camo with kevlar, Keel Haul, Gen Flagg in bomber jacket, etc. And got two of the mail away G.I. Joe figures which tied the old to the new. Boy I'm long winded  Anyhow I really enjoy looking at your pictures. My goal is to one day clean out my shed (my wifes goal too, partly) and set up a huge layout for the collection with a G-Scale railroad around it and a railhead showing the Joes armor being loaded for movement.

Thanks Joe!! -in a good way! ;)

I'm glad you enjoy what I've done....and that you like the 'Ares Unit' in particular. Flint and I have been best friends for over 30 years and we've developed our Joeverse to some intricate ends. 'Ares Unit' will start to be featured more as a sort of 'AT' preview (especially once the 3 3/4" version of the team comes out). We're going to use them as the precursor to the 'G.I. Joe' that we all know and love

I'll let you know when I start publically writing/posting pics!!

Here's a 'test shot' for the 'FLAGG War Room' that I'm building.....it is going to be shown quickly in the current dio story that Flint and I are working on and more predominantly in the next story (which leads right in after we're finished)
