And if you're too traditional for that, the DVD is routinely available for $10 or less, which is a hell of a deal. It has aged a bit in my opinion, but it's the series that started the trend of kickass reboots; I'd say ThunderCats 2.0 blows it away, but I'd also concede that without MOTU 2002, there would perhaps not be a ThunderCats 2.0

Yeah, I just hope Thundercats continues, now. Seems to be up in the air at the moment, and the toys are being clearanced off. I REALLY hope they can continue; they did a fantastic job.

As for the 2002 toon: I liked the second season, but the first one was putting me to sleep. Well, sorta. I put it on awhile back while doing other things, and I found myself not paying attention quite often in the first season. The battles were SOOOO boring and the weapon twirling was annoying as heck. Second season fixed a lot of that, as well as stepped up the dialogue. Too bad they couldn't continue to get better and better as they went along, which I'm sure they would have. The toyline was also a major blow. I actually try to not mess with 'em too much now because it's just so disappointing that we won't be getting anymore awesome MotU redesigns.
OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

I hear you King.

While I appreciate the property, I was never a huge MoTU fan yet some of these figures are simply amazing.

Keldor, Trapjaw and Spector are my current favs. I need to get Draego Man or whatever the Dragon guys name is as he looks pretty amazing as well.

I rather preferred the more realistic look the last version of the line had, but hated the action features.

Glad to see someone else here...I was concerned a Zombie Apocalypse had taken over JBL!

I've been meaning to pick up Draego-Man as well. Not sure if I should wait until he's re-released by Matty, or if I should continue looking on eBay, though.

I recall them saying that none of the 2012 figures would ever be rereleased. Draego-Man is amazing. I have a sub, but not the 35th sub, and It was totally worth paying another $12 shipping for him separately.

I think the points they make are legitimate and they are open about it which is cool. However they are asking people to pony up a pretty solid chunk of change for figures they might even want. I think if they go to this they need to publish all the figures for the year. That way people could judge for themselves whether to go all in or pay a premium for the one or two figs they want on the secondary market. They will be more expensive but at least you wouldn't be in for the entire sub.

It would be a bummer to get locked into a sub only to find out there will be fewer figs at a higher price.

Good god, one marvels that Mattel ever managed to become such a dominant company.

At this point it makes sense that the line would start dying off. Much like most "vintage" lines a lot of people just want figures they either had as a kid, or an updated version of the entire vintage line. With Jitsu and Ram Man being announced I think a lot of people are holding off from doing the Sub and just plan on cherry picking those two figures.

Regardless, 4 (or is it 5) years is a pretty good run for a collector focused, IMO.

I think a lot of people are there including me. I don't want to shell out the cash and get locked into a sub for a few characters I like. I would rather pay more for two figures than the sub price but throughout the year it would cost less.

This discussion has really gained steam. There are some really passionate folks on both sides.
