I understand your not wanting to buy another Vamp just for the figure, but I really think you should reconsider. The S.B. Delta is AWESOME !
If that is'nt enough, the Vamp itself looks great along side the PoC one.
Oh wait, these reviews are meant for the reader to be talked into buying a toy. :) Sorry.

Hard to say! Storm Shadow did have his head cut off in the TRU Doc review.

I hear ya, and if I hadn't bought so many vehicles in the 25th line I would consider...I just have too big a pile to keep buying vehicles on my every whim. And the VAMP is a big car! I'll just have to go without, I guess.

You're right, the guys making the gun sounds was kind of genius.

Yeah, I may have to bring Freakout back sometime. And MAN, I thought Monte was the only one checking the filenames! Aw...I miss having my secret jokes. I'll have to find some other way to hide jokes for myself. I now give my oddball filename jokes to the people!

very funny review. Your best yet.

So when are we going to see the Steel Brigade duo match wits with the Techno-Vipers?

I look forward to Hasbro packing out the Steel Brigade guys with Zartan heads or something, so we can have the flip side of the old trope where heroes swipe the outfits from faceless evil minions to sneak into the bad guys' headquarters. Too bad so many of the Cobras already have masks/helmets.

I have thus far avoided buying any Steel Brigadiers, but it's mainly because I've only found them at Toys R Us, and their $8.50 price is offensive to me.

Great job Alexx! Excellent pics and hilarious commentary as always.

I've got a man-crush on the Steel Brigade! Even as broke as I am, I've purchased all 3 of the ones Ive seen @ retail. (All version 1 for the record).

I desperately want to get a couple of the SB Deltas, hopefully the VAMP makes it to Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx..... :D

One could argue that we received just such a scenario with the Rise of Cobra series; the only single-pack Zartan was in fact a Pit blue shirt figure that happened to be packaged with a Zartan head. They also repainted it in a 5-pack (brown camo rather than blue; and dark brown hair and face paint on Zartan), and another 5-pack featured Duke dressed as one of the baddies, if I remember it correctly.

And then you have Pursuit of Cobra Zartan, who comes with an extra head and extra gear to make Sandstorm; the implication is that Zartan killed him and is now impersonating him.

Am I the only one who is not merely disappointed but outright offended at the lack of paint-apps on that figure?

You are right about the small amount of paint-apps on the Delta, but I don't think it should be a deal breaker for anyone. The apps he does have are at least in good taste, and compliment the figure nicely.

By the way Monte, thank you for the link to the Macho Man promos. The "Nothing But Garbage" one is going on my favorites list.

See, to me there are shortcuts and budget considerations and repaints and reuses, and then there's just inexcusably shoddy work. That Delta figure looks like an incomplete figure. He's so unpainted that he looks like a prototype or something.

On a lighter note, I'm always happy to share the love for Macho Man.

The lack of paint apps on SB Delta's head is certainly upsetting but the sculpt, the helmet and the gear are all MORE than enough to make up for it. Especially on a fig that will have said head covered 85+% of the time.

I was aware of the ROC Zartans, but it's just not the same to me unless they have a full face helmet to put on.

I'll admit that even I don't fully understand my preferences.
