And I commend you for not using the code; there are many who would scoff at me for using it, but although I love those games, I'm not amazing at them. It's more fun when I don't have to worry as much about that stupid tank running me over...

I picked this guy up a few days ago. I agree it's an excellent figure with great poseability and details. I just wish it wasn't Duke... Yeah I could call him Muskrat I guess, but the blond hair/blue eyes is a little too Duke-like for me.

Ah well, I suppose Hasbro doesn't give a crap at this point since I bought the damn thing already.

I put his head on a reso boxset snake-eyes figure just because of that now I have a joe version of solid snake it's sweet

Also the weapon is a suppressed m-4/m-416 M-16's are HUGE!! compared to that thing

This time, I have the figure in question, and I'm still blown away by your review and photos!

I head swapped mine; he looks awesome with the movie-Duke head they'd originally planned to use, and with the Outback head, as well.

Also, if you have the Cobra Island Outback figure, this Duke head looks amazing on him!

For some reason or another (and I'm seemingly the only person in the world who feels this way), I actually prefer this head on him. I love the existing head sculpt, but something about the realistic look of the movie sculpt lends itself well to the grittiness of the body sculpt.

You mentioned his awesome backpack in some other thread, and I remember thinking, "Huh, I don't specifically remember it. I must have left it in storage in Idaho." (I have to leave most stuff there; luggage space is scarce!)

Looking at it now... I don't recognize it at all. I hope I didn't accidentally throw it away! I guess I'll find out next summer.

(Incidentally, I hate when the backpack is hollow, and you can see the hollow bits sticking up past the figure's shoulders. Lame!)

I never got the Cobra Island sets, sadly. The Duke head does look good on this body, but I'm afraid I've been totally blown out on that headsculpt. I've got it on RoC Duke and on a big dude with a hat pulled down over his eyes, but that's it. The one you're using in your photo look particularly good, though! Much less of a "wha...?" look on his face than normal.

Also, where did you get the little green arm band for him?

I don't mind it being hollow so long as they actually use that hollow for something, like with the flashlight. I mean, they've had hollow backpacks for a long time, and are only just now using it for innovative stuff like that (RoC Desert Duke had a backpack that fit some nano rockets, too).

I can't remember! It's supposed to go around someone's neck, if memory serves. Tunnel Rat, maybe? It drives me nuts trying to remember, but I switch parts and gear so often that I tend to forget who things came with in the first place.

Duke is just Plain awesome here, a very Vietnam inspired figure with two of the best guns made in the PoC line and some of the best Articulation and Sculpting in the line

kinda sad they didn't use this as a base for the boxset Spirit coming out would have made an awesome franken-joe.

And yes, this Duke is amazing. I only wish his webgear rested a little lower on him; he looks like he still needs a belt.
