Things to do in RI: Beer festival May 1st

One of the Joe heads on the Trenches Forum posted that the Convention center is having The Spring International Beer Festival on May 1st. Someone might want to hit that up instead of the casino night/dinner. Just thought I would let you guys know.

Mmmmm...Guinness.
You've got some of the "big craft" guys attending, Sierra Nevada, Rogue, Sam Adams. I can't speak for all the smaller brews on the brewer list, but Magic Hat and Dogfish Head make good stuff. I know I've heard good things about Harpoon's Dark and IPA and Brooklyn's Brown. (Beer's my "other" thing.)

Do you mean Das Boot? Beerfest got this ALL wrong. Das Boot means The Boat. A boot as I remember it was Die Aufladung.

Anyway, it is $36 per person. Deb and I may do the early session before the dinner.

Well I do believe I am in for the beer fest, I plan on enjoying this con to the fullest as it will be my last for sometime. Some of you guys know why, and just so nobody else is wondering I will tell all why. Ladies and Gentleman, its time I return home to something that was always good for me... so Army here I come, some of you guys knew, now everyone knows. Cant wait to see you guys this year as it may be the only time in the next couple years I see y'all so...
