Comparatively to all past/present Joe device, it's the best we've seen yet.

I see so much of that "without the ninja stuff it would be great" So do you want to just eliminate Storm Shadow? is he Too "ninja" for ya?
Anyway you put it, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow have been doing things that Superheros like superman and flash and all the others have been doing. Instead of Radioactive spiders, or other planets, The backstory is simply "they're Ninjas" and it works, especially with the RICH backstory Hama created with the Nam vets.
Like it or not, The Ninja parts are necessary to GIJOE. Will you say the same things in the flashback scenes in the Movie?!?! we'll have to wait and see, because they are much..MUCH worse than this was. I liked the take, and I dont think it was Ninja overload. Killing a HISS with a sword? THATS kinda dumb...Ill just say a chopper hit those HISS tanks..
Since this has nothing to do with Resolute, Hasbro/Hama made the Ninjas to the chagrin of the 12" history. If Hasbro was serious about making it truely anti-terrorist/counter insurgency, than drop the ninjas. Not too many of those terrorizing the "modern" or slightly futuristic world.

I also agree with Snake_Eyes1975 100%. Ninjas have had a solid standing in the Joeverse for decades. The important thing to remeber is that G.I. Joe is part military action, part futuristic science fiction, and part kung fu fantasy. Something for everyone!
