A good question would have been: "How are fans expected to vote on figures which they have not yet seen?" It would provide an interesting answer, none the less.

That was one of my questions not used, although I believe the Joe team said we'll see them in Joe Con which is like 3 weeks away.

I can't believe not one site jumped on Hasbro about the Duke arms again. It's ridiculous.

Because it would be a total waste of question. This has been asked time and time and time and time again, with the same result. Why keep peppering the same question, when they keep giving us the same answer?

I think next time, every single question, from every single web site, should be:

We hate Duke arms. Please get rid of them.

Heck, it isn't even a question. It is a statement. A declarative statement follwed by an imperative command. I like that....

It could be dead & buried, but they're still getting used, and not just for Duke. It's ruining other figures. STILL. Geez.

Ask yourself what did WE learn in the Q&As? First, they said they do read the sites, so I am sure they are aware of our consistent beeee-itching of the arms. Rest assured, I am sure that JBL is one of their stops. Second, if they had an answer, I am sure they would have answered it the first time. Lastly, I am sure people will confront them at the con because they said this is the best way to talk to them.

Since JOhio is in on this and I had a role to play in picking our five questions, my outlook on these questions have changed. Sure, its easy to say, "Hey gang, let's ask the obvious questions again!" Really, these questions are precious. Too precious in fact to blow one away asking an OBVIOUS question that has been asked time and time again. It is just stupid really. First, it is just a toy and I am over it, and second, don't you want to learn about something else other than the same stuff asked over and over?? I hope a single site does not ask about the comic license, the future of Sigma Six, whether or not we'll get a Flagg/Terrordrome/Skystriker again, arms on Duke, arms on the Viper and another question about distribution ever EVER again. Submitters should be thinking about making the questions count not about asking the same questions over and over.

How come Dios and Action Figure Insider have not got questions back yet?

Repetitive questions are nothing new, and not exclusive to G.I. Joe Q&As, either.

The thing is, Hasbro does change their tune over time. In fact, they've already talked about corrected Duke arms...just haven't shown them to us yet.

But to illustrate the point using the Star Wars Q&As as an example: For several years, Hasbro kept saying "No large vehicles or playsets" for Star Wars. Then eventually it shifted to "No large vehicles or playsets without a media tie-in" and now it's become "We made large vehicles because we had a media tie-in, and if these do well then we might see more even without a tie-in." And yes, this was after a few years of at least one large vehicle/playset question in almost every single Q&A they did.

I agree that most of us want new information, but the repeating questions don't hurt...in their own way, they're a direct pipeline to Hasbro that can reflect the desires and complaints of the fanbase. If they keep hearing "fix the damn Duke arms" eventually they will probably get the clue.

I get what you're saying, but personally, I refuse to waste an opportunity for new info for the possibility that there might be a change in answer to an old question. Especially when the change will be "It's in the works" "Check Joe/SDCC/(insert random convention name) Con" "We're looking into it" cut and paste answer. Total waste of effort. They've already got the memo, responded that they were "looking into it", and that was that. It's running your head into a brick wall every other month.

Oh, but JMacq, JMacq, JMacq. We've been told over and over again that us Joe fans are far outnumbered by our SW counterparts. Although it may be an example, no matter how many petitions, repeated questions and discussions with Neal and team at the con, we will never see a Flagg/Terrordrome/Skystriker again, period-end of story. We ARE getting an X-30, which is nice, but it is no XF-14. And Hasbro's tune change will come....oh, about movie time, but for now, yes, despite your expertice here, repetition is NOT paying off or it is not paying off at the speed most impatient collectors here want it to. Judging by their answers, I think they damn well know the consistent complaining of the people WHO CARE about the Duke arms (FTR, I don't). At some point you got to think that when they read these questions they just see "blah blah blah blah Dukes Arms blah blah blah." We're not SW and we've been told this over and over. Let's make the questions count, or at least word them in a way that you won't get a canned answer. Or let me put it this way, sure, go ahead and repeat your posts over and over. It is up to the site admins to chose and chose wisely.
