A buddy of mine at work bought his 8 year old one of the boxed 25th Anniv. sets last week. He came in yesterday all PO'd and tells me his kid won't play with them. Said he caught him putting tape on the bottom of their shoes the day before. He asked him what he was doing, and Kiddo told him, "stupid things won't stand up without help, can we take them back and get a couple of the good ones, you know the bigger ones." Ticked my pal off Royaly because he really hates the S6 figures.

Heh-heh, that's classic. I have some lingering affection for the old small figures, but after Sigma 6 I could never go back to them for that exact reason; I'd get too frustrated when they'd fall over anytime I walked too heavily past their shelf or whatever.

I have some of the 80's 3.75 figures and I really like them. But the whole standing up thing is annoying, the 1:6 scale figures have the same problem.

I really like all the Joe lines. It is interesting how it has changed over the years. But without a doubt the S6 style figure was the peak in design when you compare them to what came before.
