Entries this round must take a fictional character and incorporate him/her into the G.I. Joe mythos. Big inspiration from the excellent Fables here. Characters can be taken from film, tv, music, literature, mythology, or folklore. This is wide open to the realm of fiction. It can be a character with a very defined persona (Peter Pan), someone with less defined background (Stormtrooper #8972), or something very esoteric (The woman from 'Killer Queen' by Queen). The fictional character must be translated to incorporate into the Joe mythos in a real world way. E.G. - The Big Bad Wolf cannot show up as a big, bad, wolf - but the character might be reinterpreted as, say, a Dreadnok with said name. So - no magic (well at least overtly), must be hummanoid in form, and appearance must fit with the Joe mythos (military fantasy). Entries this round must follow the following rules:
1. Entries must include at minimum : Name/Codename, Specialty, Affiliation, and brief bio.
2. Entries must be PM'd to Yoho Joe by 6pm (CST) Sunday 12/02/07
3. Entires must include source material for character (e.g. - Big Bad Wolf - Fairy Tales)
4. Entries will be posted as received to avoid duplication.
5. Entrants cannot reveal their entry. These are blind entries.
6. A new voting thread will be posted and rules for voting will be posted there.
7. If more than 12 entries are received, additional winners will be announced.
To give an example of what we're looking for:
Affiliation: G.I. Joe
Real Name: Hardy, Roland D.
Birthplace: Gilead, LA
Primary Specialty: Small Arms Armorer
Secondary Specialty: Survival Instructor
The Gunslinger is chasing something. Call it justice, call it fate, call it destiny - whatever it is only Roland knows and he is dead-set determined to catch up to it. Roland comes from a long line of soldiers and law keepers and carries the weight of that heritage with him. Trained in the arts of weaponry, hunting, and tracking since a young boy, Roland is the ultimate survivor. One of the few Joe recruits to come from outside of the military, Roland was serving as a US Marshall based out of New Orleans, LA. Hawk invited Roland to a tryout on the recommendation of Wild Bill, when a need for a pistol instructor was identified.
Adept with all sorts of weaponry from staffs to slingshots to explosives, Roland primarily relies on his two Colt 45 revolvers (Jake and Eddie), an antique Browning rifle (Susannah), and his trusty dog 'Oy. New recruits laugh at Rolands antiquated weapons, at least until they see how deadly he is with them. Roland can fire six shots center mass on a moving target at 100 yards and reload for another volley before the average man can bring his weapon to bear on target. There is a reason he is known as The Gunslinger.
From the file of General Abernathy:
Roland is the second cousin of William 'Wild Bill' Hardy, but the two couldn't be farther apart in personality. While Wild Bill is gregarious, friendly, and prone to tall tales, Roland is quiet, deadly serious, and has a humor drier than white toast. Totally unimaganative, some might even consider him a bit slow on the uptake sometimes, but Roland's a man with great insight and a clear perspective of right and wrong. A man who lives by a code of honor from a time long since past. To see what he can do in a firefight is nothing short of amazing. He speaks his mind, and always does what he feels is right. While he may be a mystery at times, I'm glad this Gunslinger is with us and not against us.
"I do not aim with my hand, I aim with my eye. I do not shoot with my hand, I shoot with my mind. I do not kill with my gun, I kill with my heart."

If there are any questions, go ahead and post them here. Good luck to all and I'm looking forward to see what you all come up with!
