My Desert team, the Five Pillars:

The Centurions:

Like their namesake, these guys each have a specialty. However, while 'Deep Six' is primarily equipped for water, for example, his suit is also capable of limited flight and ground engagements; the other two suits are equally versatile.

And this doesn't fit, but I like how it came out:

Awesome on the centurions. DS really does look like one of them. I had Ace McCloud when I was a kid. He was my fav.
You can never go home again, Oatman ... but I guess you can shop there.

That's intriguing... I keep going back and forth re: whether to team them up (just speaking visually, on the shelf, not for the purposes of a story) or whether to distribute their heft throughout the shelf. :)

I hated when GS came out 'cause it took away from how special HD was, but they've since done so much with the mold that ya pretty much gotta suck it up.

I'm pleased that GS without his helmet looks so distinct from Backblast with the helmet...

Oh heck yes, he was definitely the only one I needed; he could fly, so clearly he was the best. :)

Nice! From the names and your decision not to mod the hair on either, I'm assuming Lite and Mite are twins (or at least brothers)?

Are those Desert Wolf pants on Chiller? I would not have guessed that tan would work in an arctic aesthetic, but here we are...

Thanks for sharing!

I never did the subteams.... I made it a simple two-part system.... ninjas and non-ninjas :p

now I have them all organized on a shelf as per their release date... Duke v1 to Red Ninja... with no real organization beyond that. then I have my "special" characters... like wolf man and Mr Hebime. 2 points if anyone can tell me who that last character is... (without looking it up)

another figure who fits the look for the artic team is showdown snake eyes, minus the pants. throw a ninja showdown Stormy pants on him and you have an almost all white, black ninja!

you could call him Frostbite ;) he would go with chiller...

Monte your teams are awesome and yes Mite and Tite are twins I was also trying to think of a back story for them and chiller. Something like a father and his sons are avid artic trackers and get drafted or something alond those lines.

Well, Monte, I've been gunning like crazy to get some pics up in this thread, but it's just not gonna happen before tomorrow morning when I leave on vacation for a week. But I've been doing this crazy thing and actually working on a 'Joeverse'. Heh...who knew. Anyway, in the process of posing my figs on my new shelves I actually came up with nine different subteams of six or seven figs each that will make up the whole special forces team called Sigma six. I own no bad guys that are still bad guys...

So, I'm actually going to flesh this out a bit further while on vacation, and hopefully come back with some stories to tell and pics to post. I like what's happening so far!

Here's an intriguing side note...I only have four ninjas (my final sub team will have six)!
