DAMNIT. Why is the sub figure a Dr. Doom? BAH. Now I have to make plans for getting that somehow...

Doom is cool but not something I would go out of my way for, I kind of dig the Guantlet though.

Been incredibly busy but managed to post a few reviews.

These reviews (With different pics) first appeared on Marvolous News, but I wanted to take more pics, so there we are.

Dr. Strange, X-23, Darkhawk, and Iceman get a look over this time, enjoy:

HA! Wolverine Lite. I wish I had any photoshop skills; I wana put that and "Same great taste - HALF the killing!" on a bottle.

Anyway: X-23 is a bit of a disappointment. I don't care about her character, but she looked like a cool figure. The news about he legs sounds annoying, but I can't help the fact that I'm probably gona buy it anyway and shake my head when it turns out exactly as you said. Eh, we'll see.

I like Iceman, though I don't know why I got him. I have the XMO version and I think he's great...I just like the clear blue on this new one better than the blue on the XMO one. I WISH they had used the XMO mold! Oh well. I don't regret my purchase; I like the cocky smile on this new one and it embodies Iceman to a T.

Glad to know Darkhawk is good, though! I know nothing about him but the toy looks AWESOME. I'm even more interested now that I know the wings come off! Great feature! Hopefully I'll be able to find this one, 'cause so far Iceman was the only evidence of this wave existing around me.

And finally...Strange. Well, perhaps I'm guilty of all the stuff you said. I just don't know anything about him, so I totally underestimate his abilities. I just don't know what he does, and his toy isn't terribly interesting to me, so I guess it's a skip! Certainly looks fantastic for fans of the character, though.

Thanks for the reviews, Zed! Another episode of "Zed Finds All the Toys and Alexx Doesn't." Curse YOOOOUUUUU!!

Well Darkhawk didn't come with the Iceman wave. He came in the previous wave with X-23. He is the most difficult to find again.

Zed Hasbro already had that elbow swivel and wrist/forearm articulation on Jean Grey!
I've seen a few X-23s here. Some did have the bent legs some didn't. Some had mis-glued belts too. The QC is all over the place with these.
My Iceman is missing his eyes!
Did you manage to get the new Namor? That is another great figure!
Not my pic but I added the water effects. I was playing around with one of those web based photo manipulator sites.

Ah.well if I had ever found that figure I probably would have known that LOL.

I've been hearing that from all kinds of people. I am useually lucky on such things but X-23 (and Strange to a lesser degre) are the exceptions so far.

My Iceman is missing his eyes!

Then how does he see-aweful-yeah that was dumb LOL.

Did you manage to get the new Namor? That is another great figure!

I've seen him twice. Even picked him up, thought about him, debated, and put him back. I have to confess I frigging hate Namor. Never have liked him at all, not really sure why that is (although I know part of it is how he would flip from villain to hero, at least John Byrne tried to explain that one in his run of Namor's series). He is just a character that has never appealed to me at all. I got the MLS version in a trade 9as an extra) and I'm fine with that, He completes my original Defenders and looks the part just fine IMO. Not saying the MU one is bad, I just really hate him.

Then we're that much closer to enjoying a cold bottle of Wolverine.

Fair enough then! I'm still lookin' for the regular ninja 6 pack though; only saw the cyborgs (though honestly, they were the ones I was looking forward to the most).

While looking again though, I did see X-23...and I suppose your review got to me! I left her there. Who knows, I may get her if I see her again. I DID get something else, though!

I know NOTHING about these guys, but after looking them up: I LOVE THEM. Other than the dude in the pot, they're all pretty cool! Thanos is a favorite villain, and Drax was created specifically to KILL Thanos. That's badass! Starlord just looks awesome and doesn't need much more than that, but his background and abilities are pretty cool. Then there's Rocket Raccoon...come on. It's a raccoon that carries guns. Nothin' not to love there. Well...except the figure could be better.

There is NO reason for Rocket to not have articulation in his arms. They've done articulation on smaller figures than that (namely those tiny guys with the recent Transformers line). His arms are completely stuck like that; his only saving grace is his balljointed neck. He would have been fine with some arm movement! No idea why they left that out. Beyond that, though, it's not a bad set!

Been debating that pack, not the Guardians of the Galaxy I want, but they are cool (I'm an old schooler, I love the orignals).

On RR, I agree, Indy line short round was about the same size and they have had plenty of Yoda's (which are smaller) with better articulation. That is also my hold off on the pack, RR is the buying point and he is a statue, these are the moments I wanna curse Hasbro.

Then I find something like POWER MAN AND IRON FIST comic pack (today) and I'm happy again. Seriously I was actually gitty when I found those two, probably one of my fav teams from back in the day, oh and you even get the comic in which they meet up with "Doctor Who" (not really, he is refered to as the Professor, but the idea is understood and is clearly a reference to him). But one of those books I remember as a kid vaugely and just read, AWESOME, funny, fun and cool all at the same time. One self contained story that if printed now would take 4 issues to sell in a trade. I can't remember the last time I read a comic with so much dialouge and captions on a panel, AWESOME!

OLD SCHOOL ROCKS!

That and I found a Defenders book that was a gap in my collection (108) at a yard sale for a whopping $1 (great shape too, but lady was out of change, should have seen me scrambling for change LOL)
