I understand that the club tried to kick it up a notch for the dinner, since there was no Casino night,....
but a large percentage of us Joefans are cheeseburger and fries kinda people.. this was a little too foo foo for us.
I mean my son didn't eat ANYTHING! and kept asking me what it was...
also,.. Formality at a Joecon? I understand you wanted business casual, but... really, we're supposed to bring a tie... along with our Terrordrome Sombreros?....LOL

About that guy, apparently he would not accept UPS account numbers! I am going out on a limb and saying he like almost every other UPS provider/seller is a secondary market (UPS store, Unishippers, etc). That is right, UPS has become a franchised company much like McDs and Wendies.

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine! I really hope they don't do something like that though. I would hate to get these amazing poc figures and then be switched back to something as incredibly awful as o-rings. Yuck!

see, it means much more than that.
what the 25th fans don't realize that this also means there is little chance that we will ever see classic VEHICLES as well. Not to mention reused o-rings like the then and now sets.
...so it means that a new WHALE, SKYSTRIKER, or other classic vehicles is bupkis, unless we can convince Hasbro its worth the 5 -10 grand it would cost to retool.

So why bother asking for something that I can't afford or stores won't carry given their current retail models? Why keep something around that will just degrade further (the molds), be of no use and take away resources from new or (sic) repaints that could be made now? Want to hang a giant albatross on the line and kill it, go ahead, keep pushing for things that aren't any good for the long term health of the line.

Considering many people have medications that require refrigeration, hotels have to accomodate them in some way.

But, there was a refrigerated mini bar in the room. I would have rather had the mini fridge than a mini bar w/ $4 sodas, $6 cookies...

pbarny wrote:So the club has a right to keep metals molds that are falling apart and entering the environment killing who knows what and creating a potential long term disaster in terms of some contanimated water so some people can have o-ring figures instead of having them sold for scrap, melted down and used in new materials is acceptable? I think the other 6.5 billion or at least the couple hundreds of thousands who's water would be ruined outweigh the few thousand (if that) if you want to make it about numbers.
Having a super expensive vehicle/playset that no retailer will carry because it doesn't meet their criteria of shelf space occupied per time per profit margin is logical how? It's not like the larger stuff ever moved at regular price, so it was clearanced. Clearancing tends to signify retailers don't want this space occupied any more and are willing to take a loss (since Hasbro already got paid) and not deal with it anymore (or ever again).
So what I don't want any more figures, I can still see the obvious long term consequences of choices here and not let biases affect the analysis. Ask yourself are you able to see the logic and the beneifts in the end of o-rings and large vehicles and playsets or does it just make you upset and only upset?
