Sure, the "O" is more posable and whatnot, but frankly, my convention figs rarely make it out of the box. Like many last year, it was the REHASHING of a previous idea that irked me.....not the move away from the "O". Also, it isn't the con set that is the deciding factor on whether or not I attend the con. I'm going regardless.

I'm pretty much synced up with you on this. I will always have a special place for o-ring Joes but the 25th construct just looks so darn good! I know there are some articulation issues but all the little details I wished were in the old joes are in the new ones.
You can never go home again, Oatman ... but I guess you can shop there.

I don't care if its o-ring or 25th, I still love and display both. I'm just excited to find out what the rest of the set is and how well its executed.

The thing that's kept me really from joining the club all these years, besides the ridiculous notion that to be a :quote true :quote fan one has to pay, is the ridiculous even for an exclusive mark up of an o-ring figure. I was going through my figure storage (nice little drawers/coffins for each one) and every figure from 97 on that has an o-ring has snapped, AGAIN, for the fourth to seventh time. I was so fed up with it last year that I dumped as many of those that I could, keeping things like the Oktober Guard and other unique figures and replaced the rest with 25th or ROC versions. I never want to see an o-ring again. I've pumped more into fixing figures the last 10 years made with o-rings than the figures themselves. Anyone who keeps telling me how great they are, how about you start sending me an o-ring every time so I can have the same pleasure you do as opposed to frustration of :quote :vulgar :vulgar :vulgar he go again :vulgar :vulgar :quote . I bet I'm not alone in why kids and collectors turned away from the brand and forced several hiatus during this time. Give me non-o-ring figures here on out. I have yet to repair a broken SW, 25th/ROC Joe, Marvel, bbi, 21st Century et al figure in 1/18th scale.
