well It looks like the only thing that sold out is BLADES from Action force !

I hope the club takes note of this and decides to do a RED SHADOWS set next year along with more ACTION FORCE characters!

Was thinking the same thing. What I expected to sell out, sold out. What I expected NOT to sell out - didn't

All this hype over the foregin stuff and some of it didn't sell out. I was happy with most of it but with the hype attached to it I would have thought it would of sold out the first day.... But it didn't it made a brief apperance in the club store!

Someone will have to help remind me, but wasn't Blades the least produced of the 3 3/4th exclusives? If I remember that right, then I think it has less to do with it being Action Force then it does with the production number. I know I bought 2 just because of the limited number.

I'm not sure whether the hanging around of the international 3-pack and the jet pack troops is more a 25th style thing or just really boring figures thing.

Honestly, I don't think the club can call this year's exclusives a rounding success. I know I wouldn't. Blame it on the economy if you want, which I'm sure is part of it, but I'd say fans spoke pretty loud with their wallets on what they thought.

But hey, they finally listened to all those posters about accessory packs . . . and look how well they sold  .

Also, wasn't Blades the least costly of the international sets?

Blades and his helicopter are pretty cool and I liked the two pack of jetpack troops, the 3 pack and the crimson choppers were the big misses for me. I thought the weapons packs were great ideas but the weapons that were included were kinda meh. I hope the 2010 con set makes up for this years. I was semi dissappointed with some aspects of this years set but I don't go for the toys, a good con set is just icing on the cake for what is always a great time.

Honestly, I think the club tried to bully in on MJs profits with the weapons packs; personally, I would be a bit sour with Brian and the club. I understand they are making a buck, but when you deliberately undercut one of your most well know and biggest dealers to make a buck, that is just beyond dirty and imo unethical. Business is business and I understand that Kevin jumps in waving GIJoe Collector's Club flags, but there are ethical and proper ways to handle things. And personally, for 8 bucks, I would take a handful of MJ stuff anyday.

Actually Lanny said at the round table the weapon packs were errors that were sent from the factory in China and they decided to just sell them as a weapons pack, these were not planned to "bully in on MJ's profits" just a way to get rid of them. Granted they probably could of put them in with the attendee helicopters and it would of gone over much better. Also just to let you know the Club would of loved to use some MJ weapons in their sets, along with Killimati's coats, but big H wont let them.

I don't think John really cared. He seemed to be doing a bang up business.

Honestly?

Imitation is the best form of flattery.

people realized that John is the end all to be all of figure weapons. (anyone else noticed Marauder John weapons were used all through the Hasbro Diorama??!!) And it was his weapons tha probably influenced the ROC weapons to be more realistic (probably a "if we make the accessories better, collectors wont need to buy MJs guns to replace them")

Funny, how people behave towards a negative post about the club before con and after isn't it? I told the Hasbro guys as they were b!tching about the figures falling over that they needed to walk over to MJ's booth and buy a bunch of his stands :P

It looks like all the souvenir sets (international, jet 2 pack, blades, and crimson copter) are all sold out now or I can't find them on their site. If they are all sold out now how does this compare to previous years selling out of all their 33/4 product?

If this is true, it is good news for the convention, and maybe bad news for the ARAH fans like myself. Other than the Con set last year; the extras all sold out at the convention, I think they produced fewer amounts last year too. Previous years, I think for the most part, they sold a chunk, but not all at the convention or right after.
