YES! New Alexx Review goodness!

Coincidentally, Chase Variant just reviewed this guy, too.

Mine should be here in a week or two. I plan to leave the vest off. It might be a good Adventure Team accessory...

I too love the effect on the text in his speech balloons, and that Duke describes his voice as the sound of someone gargling meat. For some reason, the thing that struck me as most funny was Duke begrudgingly conceding that the "Duke season" gag was funny... while trapped in a net.

Love this figure. He's hangin' with my Range Vipers right now. They're having a great time.

The Range Vipers, that is. Shadow Tracker is sharpening his tools.

Got my hands on this guy yesterday. It was hard to put him down. I couldn't make up my mind as to what goodies to give him.

Now that I finally have this guy, I'll comment further. I'll also comment (or re-comment) on the review itself, since I haven't read this one in a while.

First off, I agree with you that he looks better without his vest, awesome as his vest is. I took one or two photos of him with the vest on, just to say I did, and it hasn't been on him since.

Wow, his mask looks like a Neo Viper helmet there. I wonder if it was originally supposed to look like one, just as Ripcord and Zartan changed for the PoC line after Hasbro abandoned the Hollywood aesthetic?

Whatever the case, somewhere online I saw mention of a suggestion, dating back to before Shadow Tracker saw release but supposedly from no less a credible source than Hasbro themselves, that what happened to Shadow Tracker's face was it got eaten by Nano-mites! Dunno whether that stemmed from a Q&A or someone just made it up, or what.

Moving on, this isn't just a great photo:

It's also got a brilliant title.

That's awesome. The pose and his dialogue both. Too funny.

And the gag with him taking forever to drop all his weapons is kickass, too.

I am waiting for my photos to upload, and then I'll share a couple. I posted one on JoeDios and HissTank the other day, but that was before I slightly modified his look and gear.

Great figure, and great review!

I took off the vest and replaced it with a thick, black rubber band, then added some black plastic rings to his legs to hide the screws and store some knives.

Yeah I remember thinking that his helmet looked like a Neo-Viper helmet when we first saw him. I don't think they would mold a new mask when it didn't have any actor likeness, so I'm assuming that they cut corners with the art and photoshoped (or whatever program they use) a Neo-Viper head and used it for this box art to form his helmet. I mean, if you look at art for the Neo-Viper, it matches up in some places.

Anyway, now that RoC is over, the "face eaten by nanites" just seems kinda boring, so I'm glad they didn't throw it in. I love it that he's just mysteriously missing a friggin' FACE and you get to fill that in yourself.

Moving on, this isn't just a great photo:

HA! I totally forgot what I named that. Good thing I forget how funny I am; it makes for a great laugh later! Ooooh the cleverness of me.

Thanks! The only reason that one has any dialogue at all is 'cause I wasn't totally happy with the pose and angle of the shot. It was supposed to be like he just landed from jumping out of a tree or something but it just looked...off. Hence the dialogue!

And the gag with him taking forever to drop all his weapons is kickass, too.

First gag I thought of when I opened him up. In fact - eh, you go into it in your next post so I'll say it there.

THERE. THAT. I don't have to look back at my review, 'cause I remember one big thing I wished Shadow Tracker had: something in which to put all those knives! A sash like that and the bands on his legs are PERFECT. I love the figure, but I do not hesitate to say that he would be even better with some sort of item to hold all the knives! As I said in the review: I would have liked a backback that held all the stuff (maybe with the arrows molded into it) but a sash would have been even better, so that all those knives were hanging there out front making him even MORE creepy.
OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

My memory is that when he was shown at Toyfair (way back when where there were POC figs with actors likenesses) that info was presented by Hasbro. I only remember cause I had no interest in the actor figs and only in the new characters (whcih were few and far between in that moment).

holy god

:angry3

my favorite Cobra of 2011 finally got a spotlight like he so richly deserved and I missed it for 10 months. Thanks goes to Twitziller and General Hawk over on Twitter for linking me.

You see him exactly the way I see him and your dio comic perfectly illustrates his psychosis.

Alexx, this review was the main reason I bought this guy.... The joys of having my steel brigade boys being hunted by a guy with no face who sounds like he gargles meat and broken glass are just too much! :)
