Dollar Store Joes found at brick and mortar!

Postby yathinkimdaddy » Thu May 10, 2012 4:29 pm

I found the new Dollar Store Joes today! I don't know if anyone else has found these at retail, but I found these at Dollar General Market. They were $6 each! What a huge bargain! Go to http://www.toysurvivalist.com/dollar-store-joes/ for the initial pics. More pics to come!

Finally, some retail hunting to be had! I never even saw the last two waves at retail, so it's been a long while!

If the movie figs are $10 each, I'm just going to have to pass... crazy price.

Ouch! I will probably get some of the Retaliation figures, but $10+ is really crazy. Of course I boycotted most of the MU figures cause they were $8.99. I guess the DG figs really are a bargain.

$10 made me really rethink Retaliation overall, I ended up cutting back my wants a lot. The price hikes and lower quality are not good signs.

if grown men who collect the things and take exceptional, anal-retentive care of them are swearing off buying them cause they cost too much, how many parents are gonna buy 10$+ figures KNOWING that their snotnosed brat is gonna break and lose them?

I found one Duke after going to three Dollar General stores, so whoever got there first either missed one or didn't care. One store still had a surprising amount of those $3.50 VvV/SpyTroops figures. This area is full of fans and resellers, so I'm lucky to have even found what I found.

The Retaliation price will definitely make me cut down. BH has a good point, too. It's even worse when you realize how much you can get from a $12.99 Lego set (if you into that sort of thing).

I went into one DG today and asked about these. I was only trying to see if they had them in stock, but, as it turns out, the lady I was talking to said that if I bring her the upc #s that she would order a case for me if Iwanted them. I would have to buy the whole case in order for her to do it, but I forsee these being somewhat difficult to track down. I checked 3 more stores today without any luck, but it is nice to know that they will order these if they can.

Only marginally related, but since we're talking about prices at the big boxes, Target seems to be clearancing their remaining 30th Anniv. and Pursuit of Cobra product. Saw Joes for $7.50 at one and for $5.50 at another Atlanta Target.

Found these at a Dollar General near me. They were only $3.50!

I didn't end up getting any, though. I really liked Snake Eyes, but the fact that they had no weapons for their holsters really, really turned me off. Its one of my action figure pet peeves!
