Here is acopy of our section.
Mr. Hasbro wrote:

1) Why is it that vehicle drivers are frequently "less equipped" than the single-carded figures? There are no figure stands nor weapons included with many of the figures-- many of which are simply reuses of parts from the 25th line. The price-point of these vehicles has increased dramatically from the direct-to-consumer line from a few years ago and yet the amount of accessories for these re-issued vehicles and figures seems to be dropping. Some figures, like Heavy Metal, were very innovative in the parts used while others (Terra Viper) are just straight repaints. Why does the effort put into each of the vehicle drivers seem to vary so much?

Cost is the main driver as far as what we can and can't do. The larger or more complex the vehicle assortment is, the less creative resources are available to go into the driver.

2) The Collector's Club informed us that Hasbro is disposing of the majority of the remaining o-ring molds, save for ones reserved by the Collector's Club. Does this include the Joe vs Cobra/Spy Troop/Valor vs Venom molds? Also, why was no fan input solicited in this purging process?

Hasbro has informed our internal and external teams that no molds will be disposed of without approval. We want to make sure that we do not lose any more classic tools. But, it is expensive to keep tools and we have released some that we don't forsee using again.

3) Hasbro has really been digging into their archives in terms of resurrecting vehicles and equipment from the 80's for the Rise of COBRA, Pursuit of COBRA lines (SNAKE Armor, Rage, COBRA Jet Pack, etc.) Can we expect any other older, perhaps bigger, RAH era vehicles to make comebacks? Also, will these vehicles be retooled to reflect the new figure size (height and foot pegs) or will future releases be similar to the Target RHINO which is still tooled for the 3.75" O-Ring figures?

While we always strive to modify older vehicles to be modern-era compatable, It is not always possible due to constraints of schedule.

I like these:

Q.When will Resolute be released on DVD/Blu-ray?

A.The Resolute DVD should be released later this fall

2) Both the 'RoC' & 'Resolute' figure lines are lighting up the community. How close are we to seeing more of the fan favorites being produced, i.e.-Resolute Flint & Lady Jaye and RoC Dr. Mindbender & Jinx?

Some of these figures will be coming in 2010 in the ROC line. Stay tuned!

GIJCC Question 3: We're still very anxious to hear about the release date for the Resolute DVD and/or unreleased Resolute figures. Can you provide us with an update?

Hasbro Answers: The Resolute DVD will be released this fall but the precise date is still under discussion. We, like you, would love for all of the Resolute figures to be available in their original form. If a boxed set does materialize, it would most likely be in a similar format to the "Attack on/Defense of Cobra Island" sets that came out this year.

Resolute was a huge hit with the fan community, Can you give us any type of update on this line: Toys, Vehicles, DVD release, etc?

It's looking like the DVD will be available this fall. As far as toys go, there is no plan to develop new toys based on Resolute, but we are trying to make a Resolute pack available to get the original Resolute figures into the hands those who want them.

Will any of the molds from the SDCC Destro be used in future figures? Or will their exclusivity be maintained?

We can not guarantee that the molds will never be used again, but it is highly unlikely that they would ever be used in their entirety to create the exact same figures again.

Well I'm tickled you picked one of my questions (the first half). Too bad Hasbro didn't answer it.

BWHAHAHA! The never say never comment is now officially a CANNED COMMENT. Hasbro, when you read this, and we know you do, please go back to the dart board-o-canned answers, remove NEVER SAY NEVER and replace it with a new phrase for future use.

Officially retired:
Wait until SDCC
Wait until JoeCon
Never say never
We will see
We have no plans for that in 20XX
We will let the design team know

Feel free to add to the list.......

Has someone somewhere already thought to ask them if there's any future for the Sigma 6/8 inches line? Or is it dead now?

If never asked, where/how do i register the question for the next Q&A session?

Thanks :)

'Dead' is such an ugly word.......

I can't speak for the Sigma lovers-but don't worry, we've got a bunch of them here who I'm sure will give you an answer.

As for 'registering', just wait until the next session rolls around-which will be in November-once you see the 'Global Announcement' thread go up, post your questions right there!! :thumbsup

Does this answer seem to be a lie? the Terra Viper was a straight repaint on a small vech. while the Heavy metal fig was a nice reuse of parts. as for the thunder figure being used in the other armadillo. this was a ok figure in a small vech. line. maybe i mis read something here. but it looks to me that for a large vech. you would prolly use a repaint ie. night raven instead of the mole pod. like thunder. not like the rhino reissue. unless they could do this cause no changes was made to the vech. them selves?
i dont know am i wron for thinking this way about this Q & A?
