I noticed the other day that my local WM had gotten in Eyebrow SSDuke. With 8 new figures hitting this month, I couldn't justify buying it, especially since I bought the brow-less figure back in July.

Then I realized... Killer Toys had sent me another browless SSD for free (did we ever find out who got the other 2?). I didn't bother opening it, displaying it instead on my shelf MISB. So I checked the UPC and sure enough, it's the same as 'browed Duke. So I went to WM, picked up the figure, and used the receipt to return my "free" browless Duke.

Where does this lie on the ethicometer?

Hurm. *Ponders* No harm was done. You didn't return an "opened" Package.. you exchanged for escentually the same product. Just a paint variant.
It cost the company (( Walmart)) nothing and you're not depriving anyone of anything as they can re-shelve the one you took back.

I don't see any problem with it. It'd be like me returning the Marvel Legends Ultimate Iron man I bought yesterday, with helment off, for the other one I saw with the helemnt on.

Same price, same fig, just different look. The company can still recoup cost so.. it's all good.

*nods* No worries man.

its kinda like the ppl that come into my store... that bought stuff a week ago .. and NOW we have a sale going on.. and they want to return said item to get the sale price... i HATE it.. costs my store money. and its a SALE its something special for those there durring the time... but we do it to avoid problems... just stupid lil things that always get me since i work retail management

I think I've done things like that. It's really no big deal.

Its no big deal.

I've done something similar like that.
I'm always keeping my receipts and if a deal comes up I return the higher priced item for the sale.

Hey Collecting Toys is hard work and expensive.
If you save a few here and there it adds up quickly.

Plus Walmart still gets a SSD.... you get your eyebrowed DUKE and all is well.
