Yeah, I don't know what kind of restraints they have on those guys since they kind of look like mini glowing forcefields, but I think Stone will use his bionic arm and break out of them and then free the others.

Another thing I was thinking about in regard to the show is that sometimes we forget to consider the moral, or most important theme, that is being presented to kids, namely:Trust,Honesty,Integrity,Friendship,Etc.When considering such larger issues, the technical aspects can be more easily overlooked.Duke was willing to put himself in a rocket and use an unproven Power Suit deep in enemy territory for the sole purpose of saving his friends. I think that's the big thing kids will take away from the show, besides of course, being just plain fun and cool.

Jesus Christ, people. Rolling Eyes IT'S A FRIGGIN' KIDS SHOW!!! "4Kids TV" Need I say more?!?

Look, I personaly hate drama. ANY KIND OF DRAMA. either it's humorus in some fasion or it goes in the garbage. even Halo had it's funny moments(not the FMVs but during gameplay like when you rush a jackal. it cowers and trys to run away while you bash it's brains out. FUNNY!! Laughing ) even the original GI Joe series had it's funny moments. we get it alredy: you despise tunnel rat with every ounce of your soul. DROP IT. I think he's funny. goofy, but funny. slap stick humor has it's fans and its haters.

this series borrows heavily from anime. gonzo just got done making a transformers series that had it's fair share of humor, you need to get over your war drama fanaticism and just go with the damn flow.
anime has traditionaly been full of comic relief. if you caint deal with it, you need to stop watching this show. I'm fed up with reading about how everybody hates tunnel rat. I like him and his antics. BITE ME.

sorry I just needed to get that out of my system. it was like a bad butt crack itch that you just can't scratch because your in public but it itches so bad that you let your self go and just scratch away. Embarassed

I thought the episode was cool, but not perfect. Yeah, Hi Tech's annoying, but I'm beginning to like HOUND a lot. Light years above SPUD. Duke was kinda annoying too, but one thing stuck out in my head. When he was in the friggin rocket in space, HiTech says something about it beginning to warm up and Duke says, "Yeah, where's the AC button in here?" I thought that was awesome, and I could hear the original Duke's voice saying the same thing. In the original 'toon, Duke was always saying things like this, so I thought it was a neat nod, even if it wasn't on purpose. Hopefully we see Firefly in his Cobra duds next episode. Also, if FF has the sigma system on a disk, couldn't they shut down all Sigma suits, including HiTech's? You'd think that'd be the first thing Cobra would do.

I gotta admit.. Hound is growing on me too.

He's a better team member than Heavy Duty, or Tunnel rat..... I take back all the bad things I said about him when the toy came out.

And once again I've missed a pretty good esp because of my crappy fox channel. It goes out and then comes back in after Saturday morning cartoons and the other cable provider's Fox channel is the same channel so its no better. Sigh*

Well I don't know if it was the fact that the last couple of episodes have been mediocre or that I've been hopped up on cough syrup all day but I liked this episode. It just seemed to fire on most all cylinders. Oh and that fact that it was a cliff-hanger of sorts was nice to see too. I was watching the clock wondering how they were going to wrap everything up in the last 2 minutes and starting to get disappointed. Then it ended and the team was still captured and all was right with the world.

Cons -

Sigma Strike Duke is a little too powerful. I mean shooting a beam of laser energy almost as wide as the Sea Titan that blasts through mountains from a hand-held gun? Come on! Even for a kids show that's pushing the limits of suspension of disbelief.

Hi-Tech's "Why Duke Why?!" had that same vibe as the infamous Vader "NOOOOOOOO!" line from Revenge of the Sith. It just felt forced.

Pros -

Just about everying else. Scarlett being suspicious of Stone and that biting her in the ass when Firefly ends up being the traitor. Tunnel Rat and Heavy Duty being knocked out of commission very early in the episode. Cobra Commander's "parade" through his legions of troops, very fitting of the character.

Next week's conclusion should be just as good I hope.

Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if Stone does pull a Bond and use that robo-arm of his to get free, then frees everyone else and the meet up with Duke on the way out.

Well I didnt think the episode was all that bad. It just oculd have been so much better. My only complaints were that this episode felt really short. The bats didnt use their guns. And the animation was off from the rest of the series. No one else seemes to have picke dup on that, but I could tell. Either Gonzo decided to go with a more american style, or another company helped them with this one. The animation was just below average, and the character models were so off. Did you see Tunnel Rat and Heavy Dutty? And most of the time Duke, actually looked liek an action figure, where as in all the other episdoes he looked like an actual perosn. Subpar animation aside, and some jumpy story telling, it still wasnt all bad. I agree with whoever said CC should be using the Black armor to combat Duke. That would be a cool way to tie another figure in.

PepsiJedi: The chainsaw thing is in the back of SigmaStrikeDuke's filecard. It says that all of his team members have been captured so Duke takes the Sigma Suit and uses all of its attachments for the rescue.... and the chainsaw accesory is used to break open their cells. Wink

I am sure someone already said this, "It is a kids show." I think the acting is supposed to be goofy and way over the top silly. I don't think some of those parent/Christian organizations would like their kids watching people getting blasted to bits on bunny ears TV.

The Sigma Suit is a Metroid rip off before HALO if you ask me because Metroid was around before HALO (I am a HALO fan before anyone freaks out). Expect to see more that crap in cartoons as they try to figure out ways of ripping off ideas.

My opinion of how SE and the other ninjas is in line with someone else about Storm Shadow. He captured them because he mentioned to the other Cobra idiots (because in this series they still screw things up) that he does not fail Cobra Commander like they do. Which equals, Cobra Commander ordered him to capture the ninja team, so he did. I will through in that I think if SS wanted to; he could off every Joe ninja because their best, SE, needs technology to even stand a chance with SS. I honestly think the best characters are SE and SS because one doesn't talk and the other has decent voice acting in relationship to the rest.

I saw someone mentioned TMNT; I watched it up until they droped that really great story line to creat that stupid Fast Forward series, which sucks big crocodile eggs.

As far as Dukie surviving eminant destruction, that is a result of really crapping writters not knowing how begin end or just leave a dumn subplot alone. They obviously have no experience with suspense and rhyme and reason.

But to tell remind myself, which I find I do a lot while watching this show, it is a d@mn kids cartoon. It isn't even on par with cartoon network's wonderful cartoons, or Nick's Avatar, which I find Avatar is better than half the crappy disney movies ever made, which most were rip offs of real stories or another cultures fables and parables. If I had to rate the quality of this show with it competition, it would be right at the bottom with Dragon Ball, Yugioh, TMNT and among some other wonders of idiot writers producers directors and animators. Yep, this show blows even for a kids show, but I still watch it because I need a Joe fix. Action blast is showing old Joe shows some mornings; I usually have to work on those days at those times so. Here is to Sigma Six. Hate the show; Love the toys.

Nothing wrong with ripping off old ideas. It's not like that reflective cannon in the 1st season wasn't seen by us old folks in Star Blazers. (they called it the Reflex Cannon and well, it was a very cool bunch of episodes!)

Uhmmmmm, from what I've seen, EVERYTHING seems forced in the cartoon. I'm ok with a lot of it. I even find some of it amusing. But it feels like Hasbro/Gonzo is just trying too hard with things. Trying to make it too cartoony or geared for kids. They should really just write and let things fall into place. Trust the writers. I bet the humor of Tunnel Rat would flow better if the writers didn't HAVE to make the gags. Comedy movies have the same problem.

Anyway... I guess I don't need to watch the show to see that I'm better off NOT seeing it. Laughing

The show is quite good. It took a few airings to get used to their new surroundings, but animation, action, and writing-wise, Sigma 6 makes them look like Justice League Unlimited. And animation-wise, the turtles outshine JLU in spots. The four turtles are just as endearing as before. They are more brothers here than in the old 80's show ever was. Looking back, why did ANYBODY like Michaelangelo?

From my understanding, they wre forced to jump straight to Fast Forward, so the title is somewhat appro po. There is a whole season in-between designed to wrap up loose ends before FF, but I think either Fox or Playmates wanted the new series to get new merchandise on shelves. I hope when Fast Forward runs its course, they can retoractively air the "5th" season.

TMNT and Sigma 6: best hour on Saturday mornings!
