Decided we needed a thread for those of us who've made little changes to a figure that made it much better (in our own opinion, of course Wink ). So feel free to post anything of the like, whether it's an accessory switch or a little paint.

My first tweak came about because Cobra Firefly's white "hockey mask" was driving me crazy. Why in the world is it white when nothing else is? To me it looked outta place...so I painted it silver to now match the rest of his armor.

Here's one of mine.
I like Roadblock over Heavy Duty, and with a little putty, that can be fixed!

I'm torn on CC because I like the ARAH blue of V1 and I think his gear is a lot more, well CC, than V2's. But the V2 fig just rocks in the black (and my son had that one first...). So I ripped off the gear from V1, painted it black and outfitted V2...

Just added this pic because I just liked it...

I can just hear CC...Aaaahahahaha!!!!!!

You know, in general I'm pretty anal about not messing with what the original designer has done. Even as a kid I never mixed weapons or anything like that. In my display each fig only gets the items/clothing they came with and nobody gets painted. Dunno why, but the world just seems more, hmmm... 'right' that way.

That being said, I actually stepped waaaay outside my comfort zone and sent my SSD to the master fig butcher himself for a particular custom idea that tickled my fancy during a conversation with him on another topic. I won't say anything more than it will definitely be different (i.e. not a copy of anything that's been done before) and it will definitely be very cool.

I'm anxious to see if this exercise will draw me out of my previously described retentive ways.

Pics to come as soon as I have 'im! (Ahem...gawd...ahem)

Sorry, something in my throat...

Don't get too excited...consider this baby steps...

But I've got to say that I love what you've done with CC and Cobrafly. Answers the same concern I had with the two CCs!

Here's V2 Spirit with the rest of his suit painted black and a black head band made from a piece of 1/8" ribbon.
