I know some of you have boiled and popped off heads, but has anyone done something similar with arms? Is it major surgery or an easy-squeezy fix? Or is it not worth the trouble? Neutral

The reason I ask is I would like to use Gung Ho's arms on another figure, possibly Desert Wolf. You see, I have the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor tattoo on my left arm in the very spot that the 8" GH does, and I want to make a self-custom or as close to one as possible. It'd be easier to switch heads probably, but I don't care for GH's tank top (at least for this custom). Any advice would be helpful.

You can boil and pop the following:

Heads
Lower Arms
Hands
Lower Legs
Feet (on some)

The rest would require major surgery to swap upper legs or arms. I'd suggest just sculpting over the tank top if you don't like it. That would be easier than cutting and repegging the shoulders.

But if you want to swap upper arms check out IGC's tutorial at the top of this section. Its an iteresting way to doing this.

Thanks for the response, MS. I was hoping to avoid sculpting and painting simply because I've not done it before and don't want to botch it up. I may just switch heads afterall.

I've been meaning to ask if it's possible to pop a figure at the waist, 'cause I'd love to replace Grand Slam's lower body with Heavy Duty's; I still think cloth pants would look better.

it's possible, I ended up doing it when the hip stem snapped on the shipwreck I used to make Stalker... few things have made me curse that much, and there a figures here that have more blood on and in them than your far from average "Good Guy" Chucky

Do you have any pics of this?
Because I've tried hard to snap a waist on a 'TEST' TunnelRat and I couldn't do it. Not saying you didn't do it. I'm just curious to see how its connected and how you did the transfer and if you have pics that'll be cool. Very Happy
