I finally read the article on the 25th Anniversary figures in the Tomart Magazine with Flint on the cover. First off I've seen/read way too many diffrent release dates for these figures. I think they should release the two five packs around Memorial weekend to get the jump before The Transformers Movie. Does anyone know an offical release date? In the article it said the torso and lower legs were lengthen to appear more realistic which will make the figures 4" instead of 3.75", I could care less. And one more thing from the article, the fifteen single packs are going to be "repaints" of the ten from the two five packs. After seeing the first five of the single packs it just might be true. (sigh) I'm still getting these figures regardless, I'm a G.I. Joe junkie, though I do hope they fix Snake-Eyes "football" shaped head on the version two.

I already replied to this on TNI, but I'm concerned that the magazine even printed that comment about the 10-15 figures merely being repaints of the 5-packs, because that is simply an untrue statement. Kind of surprising that would even make it into print...

As far as the figure height goes, trust me, no one needs to worry about it.

I just wished the Cobra Officer was part of the 5-pack and the Cobra Soldier was sold individually. I would rather by 2 5-packs to get two officers and then just buy a dozen or so individual soldiers.

When the dust settles, I think this will be the only real complaint. And a good one at that.

I agree, I think all the army builders should be individual, I actually think they shouldn't even have the cobra officer in the 5-pack, make it Firefly or Major Blood.

Actually, once the dust settles, I don't think this will be a complaint at all... Wink

Yeah, I think my biggest complaint will be if they release the trooper in single-packs, and I scramble to collect the numbers I want...and then they come out with an Officer/4 Troopers army building pack after I'm already done. Razz Wink

Now that would be a sweet 5-pack. Or what if they had a 5 pack with a officer, 2 troopers, 1 viper, and 1 crimson guard. That would be a pretty cool 5 pack. Call it the Cobra Army 5 pack.

I'd be all over that pack. Man I can't wait for this line to start hitting shelves. I've seen ship dates on pre-orders as early as May. Has anyone seen or heard of a definitive date?

i'm confused. so we're gonna get the start of a brilliant line of figures, and the rest are gonna be crummy repaints of characters that, for once, SHOULDN'T get the spotlight? what about staple characters like Lady Jaye? For cripes' sake......I plan on getting the first batch of figs....but cmon....it's like some awful prank to give us the first characters only to jump forward to 2004 and skip the other characters that paid their dues.....

Woah, relax... no, as has already been stated, this 5-Pack is an additional 5-Pack, not part of the "25" homage, so it will not have any impact on the "staple characters" you want to see...
