How come you guys live in the NW???

I mean, we get picked on for a ton of rain and all but still... Is it job? Family? Stuck here? Military? Go ahead, shoot.

Personally, I enjoy the rain. And all the green makes for a beautiful place to live.

I was born in CA but have lived here in or around Portland most of my life. I have a sister and friends here, as well as a good job, but even if I didn't I don't think would leave.

I too was born in CA.

Parents moved to WA. My father's old army buddy was living here and decide to move as well. Honestly it was a bad move. Parents divorced. Maybe a year or two after moving. Went with our mother back to CA. Stayed there for several years until she decide the cost of living was too much and moved back to WA.

Another big mistake. WA back in the late 80's was very Anti-CA. You have CA licence plate and they swear at you and kids would follow their parent's examples. The newer CA importants have it good not having to live through that. I really don't like WA. The decade I lived there really sucked ass. Visted Portland on Vacation about a decade ago and decided it wasn't CA but looks alot better than WA. Attended college in Portland and then graduted just about when 9/11 and the ecomony crashed here. Portland is nice and all but do to the results of the bad ecomony it doesn't pay to move. Plus I'm addicted to no sale tax.
