Mark your calendars and request the day off, 'cause come this spring, all you Joe fans are invited to my corner of Ohio!

I'll be posting directions soon. And I'll be inquiring about a Jeep plant tour if everyone's up for that. Otherwise, we can start planning things to do. We have several malls, a zoo, a worldclass museum, a racetrack, and more restaurants than the rest of Ohio combined!

BE THERE OR ELSE COBRA WINS!

Unfortunately, my brother announced his wedding last night as April 14th. I won't be able to make it as I'll be in Florida. Sad

Why does everyone think Ohio is the most backwards state ever? I just don't get that. We're as progressive as any other state. We were a major stop on the Underground Railroad for cryin' out loud! How did Ohio get associated with "redneck" and "hick"?

 You do know that the highest point in Ohio at 1,550 feet is named Campbell Hill, right? Ohio got PLOWED by glaciers. I don't know how we get associated with the "Appalachian thing". Smile

I'm used to the ramblings of Hoosiers and pay them no mind, mostly because they're beneath me. Cool Shocked Razz

I'm down. I'm half tempted to go up Friday night and spend the night at my buddy's at Bowling Green. If you're in the mood to party like wannabe's I'm sure all are welcome or we can combine the two. Cool I don't know what kind of plans to make on that end until we're closer to the 14th.

If we're going to eat in T-town we gotta go somewhere like Tony Paco's or Jed's!! Smile For all the newbies, Tony Paco's is a Hungarian version of Skyline or Gold Star (both Greek). The have connies signed by famous people and put in airtight cases. Bill Clinton even has one there. Jed's is basically a Frickers or a Roosters. So basic in fact that they're all family and it's "basically" the same receipe. Jed's is the Hot Rod/Rock n Roll version with chicken balls. Trust me the balls are alot better than the wings and prepared more uniquely. I'm not eating at Fi Fi's or Mancy's, I'm not looking for trouble Wink Luke can polish my speech but I think those are to two moderatly priced staples of Toledo.

Okay, I'll try to group everything in a certain area together to give people a better sense of which end of town to ahng out in.

I live in the south end, so it wouldn't e too much trouble to go to these places:

-JED'S BBQ AND GRILLE
which is next to a nickel arcade, and on the same street as TRU, KMart, Meijers, Andersons, a flea market/antique mall, and 2 used items stores and down the street from my comic shop.

-TONY PACKOS east side
would be a drive and is within 15 minutes of a Walmart, KMart, Big Lots, Meijers, and several dollar stores.

-TONY PACKOS in Sylvania
which is 20 minutes from my house and next door (literally) to my work which is on the main road of shopping which has a Target, 3 videogame stores, Franklin Park Mall, TRU, Kohls, Party City, Circuit City, Best Buy, Andersons, Michaels Crafts, Hobby Lobby, Riders Hobby, and dozens of other stores.

Other places I'd recommend to eat would be:

-DALE'S SPORTS PUB (an Ohio State bar with awesome burgers)
-STAR DINER (like Hooters only cheaper and better in every way)
-FRANKLIN PARK MALL (has a huge eatery so you'd be sure to find something you like)

I still don't know if my request to be out of work that day has been honored. I'll go with what the group decides, as I'll be an 11th-hour decision. Smile

i would love for someone to take nice pics of my customs as said before...
