I am new to this and I have probably broken some etiquette, (I have already made a couple of posts). I am 40 years old and work as a metallurgical engineer. I have been a GI Joe fan since the 70's, when the Adventure Team figures and sets were the thing. Most of the fans from my era will remember the disapointment when Hasbro cancelled the line in 77-78. I was thrilled when the line was revived with the RAH Joe's in the 80's. A couple of years ago my daughter asked me what kind toys I had when I was a kid and after I showed her my old Joes it was on. We started on ebay (to my wifes dismay) and we have built quite a collection of both the 12" figures and the 3 3/4 line. She has almost every GI Jane variant made. Enough of my life history, this seems like a really good forum and I have enjoyed a lot the discussions I have read already. I am working on a website, if anyone wants to take a look the link is below. Bear in mind I just started it.

Thanks for the welcome. I was worried I would be the only old school guy that liked the newer stuff also. Wrong.

Wouldn't think of asking a lady her age.
I have to talk to Sigma Adventurer after being called "Golden Ager" though,,,,, he's older than I am.
Thanks for the welcome, glad to be on board. _________________ ONLY GI JOE IS GI JOE! |

LOL...first I gotta say, your name caught my eye...
We have a cute lab mix mutt named Fuzzhead. No reflection on you, I'm sure! LOL!
Anyway, Welcome! I'm not as old as some, but I do remember playing with my uncle's 12" Joes when I was a kid! I was told what they were, but of course then I really had no idea what it was all about. My favorite was the fuzzhead dark haired guy with a beard. He was missing a hand. The other had plastic light brown hair and an orange jump suit or something. He was missing a foot. LOL. I still thought they were the coolest.
You know, come to think of it, that fuzzhead guy is probably the root of my Shipwreck obsession.... *smacks self in the forehead* I knew the neurosis had to begin somewhere! _________________ It's amazing what one can do when one doesn't know what one can't do. -Garfield the Cat

Hey, FuzzHead, glad you showed up! My first Joe was a talking fuzzhead and he went on many adventures in the backyard! I was very young when I had him and I didn't even know about GI Joe then. I'm just a couple of years younger than you so put me into "golden agers" category!
Post away, FuzzHead!
Edit: Just visited your new GI Joe page and I wanted to give you a .
