I need a little info on the dealer's room. I'm expecting people like Smalljoes to be there but what about the big guys. Does Hasbro Toy Shop set up a booth like they do at SDCC? What about Master Collector? Will they have some of their older exclusives available? I'm just curious about who's going to be there so I can budget.

Master Collector will have a booth set up... If it's like Minny, it'll be before the entrance to the main showroom (trying to get your last buck before you spend it elsewhere, you see... Wink ). Brian's Toys had a huge showing in Minny, but I think that's where they're out of. Guru Planet's there (I believe), and some other vendors. There's a LOT of personal booths where people are selling stuff. The poster that goes by krymsynsith and allIgotwasthislousyshirt are both having a booth this year... I think. Hasbrotoyshop didn't have a booth before, but that may change. What they had in Minny was a computer to where you could purchase off their site.

It's a shame that Good Stuff to Go and DNS Toys aren't there... I REALLY like dealing with those guys.

Anyone know if goodtogocustoms will be having a booth?

SmallJoes doesn't have a booth there normally... Brian's Toys usually has a pretty huge representation, and GuruPlanet is there as Smokescreen said.

Yeah, the GIJCC definitely has a sales table set up, though they don't always have all of their older exclusives there. A lot of the places are folks I don't really recognize, but there's always a lot of stuff there.

I know JoeArmory will be there, too, along with Killuminati's 1:18 scale clothing... Marauder, Inc. as well, usually.

Good to Go won't be there this year as far as I know. At least no booth.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm surprised about Smalljoes but Marauder will be getting some of my money and I'm hoping I'll be able to find a couple pieces to complete my Rock 'n' Roll collection.

I'd like to see BBTS set up shop at the con but there's not enough product to probably justify their attendance at this point.

HTS should have something akin to what they had at SDCC but I don't see that actually happening. It's more likely that you'll find the previously-mentioned places as well as a few smaller dealers with booths. I haven't heard a peep at Devil's Due being at the con which has me a bit concerned.

They'll be there! I contacted DDP via the website and Mike O' sent back an email saying he, Sam Wells, and Mike Bear will be in attendance.

Yeah I knew Bear, Sam and Mikey O would be there. I have the con exclusive AE#25 for Bear to sign so I'm good that way.

As for dealers, I'm kinda surprised HTS won't be there. Seeing as how this IS one of their "core" product lines you'd think they'd at least have a few things there.

here's a dealers room report from a consumer point of view:

Last year was pretty rounded out. There was a large chunk of dealers with 12 inch stuff, with several dealers with carded figures, then the big dealers like Brian's toys and Guru Planet, some guy who's big on ebay who was selling a butload of parts, guns and various other doodads. A few specific people (one selling a super cool modern collectors book)

there there was the Marauder, the Devil's due Booth, the Hasbro booth and display case, That dude who was selling the 18 scale trenchcoats and clothing, and the Master Collector's booth. they also set up a signing table for the guests.

A few rules of thumb:

1) If you see a good deal TAKE IT!

chances are, it wont be ther if you walk away.

2) The closer it is to the close of the show, the more likely the vendors will give you a better deal.

Unfortunetly, by then, most of the good stuff will be gone.

3) Avoid the gougers.

Know how much your wants are worth,....There was one guy selling figures for 5 bucks apiece,.,.. but they were in horrible condition. another table had "Army Builders" for 8-10 bucks apiece. Usually they will calm down a bit by Sunday, but that early viewing day on friday,.. watch out!

however, theres a flip side, another vendor had accessories , separated by year, for 50 cents to a buck, and there were BBI, and other 3 3/4 accesories mixed in!!!

4) Check the Trading bulliten board first.

You might find what youre looking for there,...

5) Marauder is THE MAN!

(I'll let you figure out why for yourself!)

6) COme back often.

I usually hovered in an out between workshops, finding different bargains.

7) Don't be afraid to dig.

Some venders just throw a buch of stuff into a bin and let YOU find stuff. and some buyers dont want to take the time to look. I looked in one dollar bin,... and found a RICK HUNTER figure!!!

8) Have FUN!!! sometimes I just walked around chatting with the Vendors,

I'm basically after a couple carded figures to complete my collection. Other than that, and the slim to are-you-frelling-kidding-me chance of a Sigma 6 deal I'm not looking to spend much there at all.

Thanks for the info though, it is greatly appreciated by us Joecon newbies.

Let me fine tune the discussion and say I'm 99.9999% sure Corey Stinson will be there but not Smalljoes (aka he doesn't set up and enjoys the show) and obviously Hasbro will be there but not HTS. HTS was half? there in '05 when they sold preorders of DTC w1. I kind of think 25th stuff will be a little more accessable from Hasbro this year. That's me talkin' and i don't even really know what that sentence is implying.

One more tip, haggle! Just about everyone is willing to deal! If the figure is marked $20 and you think it is too high, offer $10 and go from there. I have made some good deals that way too. Also don't see something, ask if they got it. They might have it up in their room or someone else might have one and be willing to sell or trade, again have had this happen a few times too! And I cannot stress how important #1 is. You will be kicking yourself if you pass it up, trust me!!!
