I was at Wal-Mart this past Monday on Needmore in Dayton. After a little tour through the "dead" fish Dept. Evil or Very Mad

(For you Aquarist you may know what that means) Anyway I walked over to the Clearence section and I see a 25th Cobra 5 pack for $22.00. Now this is the first time I saw these. My first thought was wow Wal-Mart marked this down quick. Then when I looked I saw that some jerk had taken out the Cobra Soldier and replaced it with a V6 Cobra Viper. Well I figured let me set it down get what I came in for and I'll get it on the way out. I started walking over to the toy section (part of my Wal-Mart rounds Smile

) While there I happen to see another customer who happen to be a Joe fan. I saw the tattoo of the Cobra sig on his calf. He was with his wife and kids and I thought to myself "Why don't you tell him about this set"
So I did and told him where it was. After a few minutes I walked back over to the Clearence section I noticed he didn't find it so I went to where I left it picked it up and handed it to him. I pointed out that what was wrong and it didn't seem to bother him. I guess he bought it I don't know because I finished getting what I needed and left.
So am I stupid or what ?

yeah,. only in the sence that you should have kept it ofr yourself,... if you wanted it.

Otherwise, it you didnt have any interest in it,.. you were being a cool guy....(but still a little stupid)

IMHO:
Being generous and courteous is rarely stupid (I saw rarely in the event that you're letting yourself be taken advantage of) so no reason for you to feel dumb.

The jerk that replaced the trooper on the other hand.....I can't believe people would stoop so low.

You're not stupid. You're a nice guy for 2 reasons;

1. Telling the guy about the set.

2. Telling him about the switch.

The person who really catch hell is the unknown jerk who pulled the switch. Whoever it is deserves scorn for being such a heartless jerk as to do that. Its people like that that give collectors a bad name.

I voted stupid because you haven't checked in with your friendly neighborhood Johio Joe-Bros. I still have some extra single packs etc but and live right by the Dayton Mall. I guess they put it on clearance because of the switched figure. At least they did that, not like some of the other stores which try to sell a tampered item for full price. Rolling Eyes
