The only two Hot Toys figures I have right now are the Tomcat Aviator and Vasquez from Aliens. |
Yeah I almost bought that Mullen figure before, but I didn't see any bare hands with him (only the gloved Nomex style), so I passed. For the chunk of change they wanted for him, plus how rare it is to find ungloved AA hands in 1/6...it swayed me away. Still a cool figure, but I wanted him for a custom.
How is the Vasquez figure? Did they end up going with "normal" jointed arms on her? I saw old photos where she had rubberized arms at one point due to having bare arms and I guess they wanted to make her look seamless.
EDIT: I just looked around and found Mullen a LOT cheaper than I saw him for before. $54.99 on EchoBase. I may cave in and get one now...heh... _________________

Vasquez is nice. It's a little hard to get all the "smart-gun" gear on her-lots of stuff! Her arms are more like skinny Cy-Girl or Perfect Body, with double joint elbows.
Cotswold Collectibles also has "Mad Max" Mullen for $55 bucks-and I need some insignia for my 12" Lady Jaye custom............
I found AT Air Adventurer at Wally*Mart today! They actually had them all,but I couldn't afford to go hog-wild. _________________ I will never leave you to fend for your self,Trust me to stand behind you,I'm Your Glory Unseen

Ah okay...they must have used the same body as the female SWAT figure and Ripley, etc.
The only AT I unboxed is the Man of Action...standing guard over my computer as I type this.
I opened them all to check them out, but he's the only one still out. _________________

Oh well. No more searching for me. If I see them, I see them - if I don't, I don't. *shrug* |
My WalMart didn't have any spots for Joe stuff either, last time I was there (middle of last week). However, they did have clearanced Sigmas, and I grabbed a couple I was missing.
However, TODAY, I got all 5 12inch Adventure Team members in the mail, and was quite the happy camper. There's something cool about seeing them, plus my 12inch GIJane and the 12inch Arctic Adventurer from the Club all standing together. Not sure I'd want many more, or even vehicles or whatnot for them, because the Adventure Team just looks good at that size. Going to have to get some decent weapons for them, though. Those little pistols are cool and all, but they could be BETTER. Ashame Marauder's Inc doesn't do 12inch scale weapons.... |

I always get Mercury( isn't that a cute name for a girl ) or Becky at Cotswold, and they treat me like a king.
I usually have several pre-orders going-got my Catwoman 13" back in early august-waiting for Sideshow Leia Organa "New Hope" maybe in November.
Cotswold has excellent selection, and the BEST customer service! _________________ I will never leave you to fend for your self,Trust me to stand behind you,I'm Your Glory Unseen
