So, does anyone here read Fables? Because I never see anyone putting it on their pull list.

Let me tell you, this comic is fantastic, as well as its spin off Jack of Fables. If you're curious check out the first trade or two. It is quite intriguing and very well written. If you love fantasy, or darker depictions of fairy tales, this is a great book for you.

You can read the first issue on the Vertigo website, but it takes it a few issues to get going.

I don't read that book, but I have all of the Grimm Fairy Tales books & am looking fwd to the Return to Wonderland (very dark) mini-series. #0 is on racks now if anyone wants to jump in on the ground floor.

Man, I'm a huge Oz & Wonderland fan... I haven't seen this. When did it come out? I might pick this up.

To answer your question, I never could get into the story. Just did nothing for me. Mo really enjoys it, although Jack of Fables does nothing for her.

Read Fables like a mad man. Best written book on the stands. The art is usually top notch to boot. Such a great series.

DOH! You should have PMed me.. lol. I missed checking in to this thread for a few days. I'll stop by my comic shop tomorrow Jay & grab one if they're still there. If not, I bet I can find one at a shop up the river in Winona. I'll get back to you.
