Killowog:

Okay finally got some new ones finished up this weekend. First up Killowog. I love Killowog. Fell in love with him as a kid during the whole Giffen era JLA. He's like Hellboy if he was a Green Lantern. And who doesn't love to say 'Poozer'? Anyway, just a slightly modded SHS Juggernaut with a scratch built head. My first real attempt at sculting a head from scratch. Came out reasonably well I think. Alien heads area bit forgiving. Need to clean up the chest symbol a bit yet.

Hal Jordan update.

Started tring to update my JLA customs. Just a head change here. Modded a Rollbar head and came up with this. Works reasonably well I think.

And shot of the two:

Killowog: "You ain't the best yet Poozer."

Modern Black Canary

Wanted to try a modern take on Black Canary. Had a more classic looking one, but her head wasn't very good (there's a dirty joke in there somewhere), and I really dig her look inthe new JLA comic, so decided to do a take two. Trying to decide if I want to try the fishnets again, or if I'll be satisfied with the Chun Li stockinged legs.

And my new Hard Travellin Heroes:

Killowog: "So I'm here to apply for the open position. I desire to see the vast melting pot that is the USA, righting wrongs as I discover a bit more about myself. I have my own ring, dress in green, and have not gone insane and almost destroyed the universe.

Lara Croft

Don't know why I did this one. I suppose it was one of those 'beacause I could' type situations. Mostly wanted to see if I could mash the microsister torso with microlady limbs. I think it worked out pretty well. She's a bit leggy, but some of that is form the boot heel, and who doesn't like leggy women?

GA: "So baby, do you like rich hippies with a full quiver? What? Is someone behind me?"
Croft: "God save the Queen."

Yoho... these are great customs. Killowog and Hal look awesome. I agree with GS, Croft's legs are fine. BC's legs need something simply because the weathered detail on the rest of her added with the shiny untouched legs kinda clash. But she is a fine custom. I really dig your Green Arrow. Um.. I mean... that just sounds wrong.

If Lara wasn't leggy, then you would have messed up.

I never would have thought to use a Juggernaut for Kilowog. Very cool. That Green Arrow figure is great too, what head is that?!

Thanks all. You know, that Green Arrow was the first Microman custom I did over a year ago, and I think it's the only one I haven't gone back to redo, but it'sthe one that usually catches people's eye. The head is a modded Brawler head that came with the gun station. I figured I'm gonna cover whatever head I used with a mask and Van Dyke, so why not use the worst head produced in the history of toys. That and it was probably the only cut up head I had lying around at the time.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna end up doing the fishnets again, but I'm gonna try to find some fabric that isn't as stiff as the stuff I used last time, so the hunt is on again for 1/18th scale fishnet material. Somehow, I feel less a man for writting that last sentence.
