Here are the questions that JBL submitted to Hasbro for the Q & A session along with the answers we received! I'll be posting links to the answers from the others sites as well.

1 - Based on the '82 formula that mixed both figures and some vehicles for expanded play, will Hasbro consider adding 25th Anniversary vehicles to the line.. no matter what size or amount?

We are considering all of our options for the Anniversary line and we want to ensure it's success out of the gate. Historically, figures are a first purchase and vehicles a second so a figure line is perfect our launch this fall.

2 - With a renewed focus on the 3 3/4" what are our chances of seeing some previously unreleased items re-released, primarilly DTC Wave 4?

We are currently focused on building Anniversary as the new standard in 3.75". We are focusing all of our efforts on Anniversary for this fall. However, we are aware that collectors are interested in DTC Wave 4 and will do our best to factor it into future plans.

3 - If the 25th Anniversary format proves successful, is there a chance of seeing an expansion of the G.I. Joe mythos with new characters and new concepts?

The Anniversary line is a tribute to the past 25 years of the brand we know and love. Our goal as a brand is communicate our fantasy to kids and fans and drive the brand to new places. New characters and concepts are definitely an opportunity going forward.

4 - As the anniversary line continues into 2008, can we expect the same formula being used currently, meaning the same construction style, articulation, and re-used tooling?

We're not ready just yet to release 2008 information, but stay tuned…

5 - Will 2008 continue the "Anniversary" concept, or will there be an actual storyline or theme going forward?

Again, we haven't announced 2008 plans yet.

Any line of communication is a good one in my books. They gave us the best answers to the questions they could. I can't blame them for not answering any 2008 answers. We haven't even gotten 2007 product yet!! If it's one thing they realize its that they need to keep fans focused on NOW instead of TOMORROW. If they don't.. we'll see the sizzle go out on all of this like we did in 2005 when we basically knew everything from the get go. I'm very happy to sit back and speculate instead of digging for answers.

Cryptic......

But sounds good for DTC wave 4 and new characters! And if they're even CONSIDERING DTC wave 4, then I personally wouldn't rule out RAH or newsculpt styles for possible release.

The best news out of all of that is that it doesn't sound like they've COMPLETELY given up on DTC wave 4 yet. Sure, wide release sounds highly unlikely, but maybe they can give those molds to MC and let them produce them or something... Hope for Munitia LIVES!!!!

At this point, I honestly would prefer to go forwards rather than backwards.. a few items notwithstanding. Resources for the Joeline always seem to be at a premium and I rather see them used on the 25th figures and what comes after them.

Though.. if they want to make Robot Rebellion Cobra Commander and Firefly... I'll go for those two like butter on toast.

Thanks for the good news.

I'm still happy just hearing that GI Joe is going to continue into 2008.

Is it me or is question 4 and 5 the same question just worded differently? Kind of a waste of a question...

Great feedback from Hasbro!

Not really... question 4 is asking specifically about figure design and construction. Question 5 is asking about a storyline or mythos. Two separate things (multi-faceted questions were not allowed).

General's Joes also has a full site wrap up here.

At least the one thing they were clear about is that there will be comic packs again.

Looks like you guys didn't get together with
http://www.cooltoyreview.com
2 of their questions were the same as some of the regular Joe sites. Neutral

Can't wait to see some of the other site's Q&As.

Yeah, unfortunately there was no way for us to find out every single site that would have questions to ask...we did the best we could.

I've honestly no idea who runs this site or when it started up. A bunch of the Joe site admins got together to compare notes but yeah, CTR just was a complete unknown. I should shoot their site an email and build up some better coordination for next time.
