G.I. Joe FSS 4 shipment 3 is inbound! Plus, a look at #5!

G.I. Joe FSS 4 shipment

G.I. Joe FSS 4 shipment 3 is now arriving!  That’s right– thanks to the accelerated delivery timetable of the G.I. Joe Collector’s Club, FSS 4 shipments are hitting subscribers’ mailboxes about every three weeks!

Thanks to Alyosha of BrokenArrowToys.com, we’ve got a look at shipment #3 below.

Not only that, but a shipping error has resulted in one lucky fan getting shipment #5 early!  We’ve got a pics and link to his Ebay auction below as well.

So, you’ve been warned.  After the jump, we’re taking a look at TWO G.I. Joe FSS 4 shipments.

G.I. Joe FSS 4 shipment 3 is comprised of Jammer and Pathfinder!

FSS Jammer front

The original 1984 Palitoy Jammer was a repaint of the US released 1982 Stalker figure and the Club kept that homage intact by reusing the head that was commissed for the Joe Con 2015 Peril in Paradise Tiger Force Stalker figure.  It’s a solid sculpt design from the talented folks at Boss Fight Studio and it serves Jammer well as an update.  I’m not thrilled with the Club’s choice of torso, however, as they went back to the 25th Anniversary Snake Eyes buck which looks too short when compared to the size of the head and the rest of the body.  The swivel wrists are a nice addition, however, and the camouflage pattern is faithful to the original.  Jammer was never high on my list of “must-haves” but this figure looks decent for a Club build.

FSS Pathfinder front

Good old Pathfinder– the 1990 Pathfinder figure will forever be known as “the guy with the weed whacker” and the Club recreated that look pretty well.  The odd colored camouflage of the original is back, and the PoC Lifeline head works well enough to recreate the vintage figure’s sunglasses-wearing head sculpt.  He’s no longer got those odd hip-mounted machine guns but he’s ready to tend to all of your lawncare needs with his newly sculpted weed whacker!  The fit of the vest still looks too larger to my eyes but it might carry itself better in person.  (My shipment should be here today.)  I’ll go ahead and say it– he’s a surprisingly good-looking FSS 4 figure!

So that wrap’s up shipment three– but as they say in the infomercials: “But wait– there’s more!”

Ebay seller “dpodjasek” is probably the envy of many Joe fans right now.  Instead of FSS 4 shipment 3, he received shipment 5!  Thanks to his Ebay auction, we have an early look at these two figures:  Billy and the Interrogator!

FSS Billy front

It’s hard to tell from the angle but Billy just might be a bit long in the legs.  I am glad, however, that the Club went with the adult mercenary Billy and not the ninja-training version, even though it would have been much easier to produce.  I’ve wanted this figure for a long time and this picture just makes the next six weeks even harder!

FSS Interrogator front

I’ll admit it– I still don’t know what to make of this particular build.  I was disappointed by the digital mock-up reveal months ago as we weren’t getting a new head for this character.  Plus, there’s the whole “why are his weapons blue?” question that won’t leave my mind.  However, I’ll reserve judgement until I see him in person in a few weeks.

So there you have it– previews of not one but TWO FSS 4 shipments.  Are you more excited or less excited about these figures after seeing images of how they turned out.  We’ll have reviews of shipment 3 up within a week of its arrival here at JBL HQ but for more images of both shipment 3 and shipment 5, check out the galleries below!
